Drag Queen Christmas For Nashville But No Christmas Parade

The Tennessee Conservative [By Paula Gomes] –

Nashville gets “A Drag Queen Christmas”  this year thanks to the Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC) but Nashvillians will not get their annual Christmas Parade.

The Drag show, presented by Murray & Peter, is in its 8th consecutive year and scheduled for November 27th at the James K. Polk Theater. While it is not described as family-friendly, there is no age restriction on the tickets and TPAC’s updated Patron Entry Policy “strongly recommends all patrons 2+ years of age to wear a mask while in the theater and public spaces.”

The same show in New York is advertised for “all ages.” There will also be a Meet & Greet starting at 6pm for those purchasing VIP tickets.

Meanwhile, instead of the annual in-person parade that Nashville usually enjoys as part of the Christmas season, the producers of the Nashville Christmas Parade are “again sharing the joy of the holidays nationwide with the Nashville Holiday Music Special.”

The Nashville Christmas Parade debuted in 1927 and has been a much loved annual tradition every year for the city of Nashville except during war years and in 2020 when the parade was held “virtually” due to the pandemic. The parade is now produced by Tennessee Holiday Productions.

According to residents, that 5-year-old Florida company has ruined a parade as big in the eyes of residents as that of Macy’s, turning it “into a production rather than a parade of floats representing the community and celebrating Christ’s birth.” The Donelson Hermitage Chamber of Commerce may organize a parade, having done so last year.

The one-hour music special that Tennessee Holiday Productions is offering up instead will be aired by WKRN News 2 on Saturday, December 4th, at 9AM, Sunday, December 5th at noon, and Christmas Day at 11AM and nationwide through the holiday season. It will feature “a star-studded lineup of performances and celebrity appearances from iconic Nashville locations.”

The parade and music special benefit Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. Because of the national exposure of the Nashville Holiday Music Special, there are additional fundraising opportunities for Children’s Hospital. As a nonprofit organization, the hospital cares for all children regardless of the family’s ability to pay.

Nashville may be missing out on Christmas traditions this year, but the city saw both a Nashville Pride Festival and companion Pride Parade back in June.

What happened to the nice conservative City of Nashville where families could go for clean entertainment and safe streets?
I am so ashamed of this City. They chase away groups because they are conservative, and literally take money away from vendors by doing this. And then they go woke with this nonsense! I will never spend another dollar in this city as long as they continue down this road. Go woke, go broke.

THIS IS SICK AND IT JUST SHOWS THAT ONLY 2% OF THE POPULATION IS WHO THEY WANT TO CATER TO ANY MORE – TO HELL WITH CHRISTIANS AND FAMILIES. PEOPLE NEED TO STEP UP AND SET THEIR OWN CHRISTMAS PRADE – GATHER SPONSORS AND BOYCOT THE ONES THAT BRING SICK SPECIALS TO THE COMMUNITY —- PEOPLE OF NASHVILLE NEED TO STEP UP.

This is a disgusting turn of events….where’s the Chamber of Commerce hosting a CHRIST-centered Christmas parade? That is the “reason for the season.” I want no charity money to go to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital any longer; NONE AT ALL! Drag-Queen sicko mental illness is NOT for children (P.S. City council and Governor and Mayors…humans under age 18 NEED PROTECTION!!!)

They have proven themselves through the secret experimentation of children and transgender nonsense to be ALL ABOUT PROFIT FOR THE UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL!!! Franklin had a Pride Festival at Harlinsdale Horse Farm (of which I cannot imagine the family being OK with the use of their “donated family farm” to go towards the sick agendas of liberal Mayors and City of Franklin Council members) And about 2 weeks later…MONKEYPOX!!!!!!!!!!! in little Franklin, TN – best little town in America dontcha know?!

Children should not be allowed in to something like this. (TPAC’s updated Patron Entry Policy “strongly recommends all patrons 2+ years of age to wear a mask while in the theater and public spaces).” Where are all the decent people and businesses? Sick people doing this.

Why is a small percentage of the population allowed to celebrate their alternate lifestyle while the majority must give up lifelong traditions and a the celebration of A worldwide holiday is minimized or cancelled? Vanderbilt is a part of this. The Nashville City Council should be ashamed for approving these changes that are detrimental to family life.

I think if one follows the money we would see who really is bringing this to Tennessee. Why in Tennessee? Tennessee who has so many churches all across Tennessee. Where are those who profess faith in God and are silent. Those who are on boards and stay silent, while this State starts to become a state with no morals and against God. What is Christmas? What does it mean? Why do we celebrate it? Wake up Nashville and maintain a place for decent entertainment and safe harbor for our children. God is watching and guess what? He will not be mocked. Christmas to most Christians is to celebrate the birth of Christ our savior. So why doesn’t Nashville stand up and celebrate it as a whole Christian Community. Now that would be something and the message would be sent loud and clear. God is looking for His true followers His church.

1 1/2 yrs ago I warned this Tennessee Conservative audience, our US Senators, State Senators, Gov Lee, various news outlets and anyone else who would listen to me about “Drag Queen Story Hour” being presented in taxpayer funded libraries & schools. Especially Knoxville, Memphis & Nashville areas. I received no response or outrage at that time. Now its on your doorstep and what will U Do? Go on-line to “Drag Queen Story Hour,” look at the freak they have for their poster child of San Francisco’s chapter, read their charter then see for yourself where the chapters are in your area. U can then address who is responsible for the perversion in your neighborhood.

Want a religious festival? Donate, Volunteer and do the work. States cannot support specific religions and are not supporting drag shows either. Both are equally ridiculous as public events, same as scientology day or Ramadan.
