U.S. Rep. Andy Ogles said that his cell phone was taken Friday by the FBI as part of an investigation into campaign finance complaints.
The Republican from Tennessee’s Fifth District reportedly gave his campaign committee a personal loan of $320,000 in 2022 and recently amended his financial disclosure. He was also accused of opening a $700,000 line of credit that wasn’t reported.
“It is my understanding that they are investigating the same well-known facts surrounding these filings,” Ogles wrote about the FBI’s actions. “I will of course fully cooperate with them, just as I have with the Federal Election Commission. I am confident all involved will conclude that the reporting discrepancies were based on honest mistakes, and nothing more.”
Ogles is set to face Democrat Maryam Abolfazli in the Nov. 5 general election.
“The FBI’s execution of a search warrant and confiscation of Andy Ogles’ cell phone is deeply upsetting, especially given an ongoing pattern of misappropriated funds and falsehoods regarding his education and work history,” Abolfazli said in a statement.

Andy Ogles is a PERFECT U.S. Congressman with a Heritage score of 100% and I want him to be my congressman forever. Looking toward the race for governor in 2026, however, conservatives can do better than Andy and I hope we will.
We are blessed to have Andy as a TN Rep in the U.S. Congress. I found this FBI strike deeply upsetting. Several Dems have had election contribution “issues” yet nothing similar has happened…of course. The FBI/DOJ are now weaponized and have lost our trust and respect. Unlike Mr. Anderson, I do not know of another more qualified or more trusted individual who is currently contemplating TN Governorship. If one emerges who is outside of the political arena, yet has a track record of integrity and high values, I am open to considering that individual as well.
Andy has two shortcomings; he is lazy and he is a distraction magnet. Neither are helpful idiosyncrasies when trying to choose our first conservative governor in memory. Rep. Mark Green (Heritage-96%), on the other hand, is not burdened by either shortcoming.
Kji, it’s almost impossible to measure such things as “trust”, “integrity” and “high values” though the pretty, expensive ads paid for by big buck “outsiders” who would just love to buy themselves the governorship will sure attempt to help you along. Sort of like Gov. Lee’s ads, and Gov. Haslam’s and Sen. Corker’s ads did. Now if you are happy with the way the Lee-Haslam-Corker terms in office turned out just watch those ads. If not, demand to see a long-time conservative record while in office before choosing our next Governor.
Political warfare against a republican representative. Similar financial things are known to have happened with many candidates of both parties and the outcome if the party accused cooperates with disclosures and adjustments to the proper forms and procedures it is dropped. Only the willful denial, coverup and misinformation to the investigators about facts, usually gets further attention. Mr. Ogles is a trusted asset to the Tennesseans that want conservative values, the constitution and equal justice valued in our land. WE do not want a government that fights Christians values, tries to manipulate the constitution and our courts, enables invasion by hordes of foreign invaders and gives them support with our tax dollars. We want a government that protects women from men that pretend to be females and can describe what a woman is. We want our children to be protected from sexual deviants that attempt infiltration of pornography into our schools and protects mentally ill and delusional perverts “rights” above those of Christians or other children. Ogles fits our needs far better than anyone who supports the democrat platform from hell that seeks to murder babies up til and beyond birth, sexual permanent mutilations of children with surgery and drugs over their gender confusion and to take away parents rights to object to the sexual indoctrination and mutilation of their children. That is the democrat platform and moral agenda. It is fundamentally anti God/Christian, anti family, anti science, anti woman and pro Marxist/Satanist. That is not what most Tennesseans are or want. Too many are distracted by the lies, misinformation, propaganda and diversions the democrats have perfected with their partners in those groups(Marxist/Satanist) They are powerful, have lots of money, foreign enemy support and have infiltrated and subverted our government and agencies at all levels. Don’t kid yourself “moderate” democrat! This is what you are lifting up against your neighbor! You can not claim to be a Christian and a democrat any longer, they are way too far apart! You can lie to our faces but God sees you and knows all.
Congressman Ogles’ only ‘crime’ is that he is a STAUNCH conservative and well, you know the FBI can’t have that! They’ll ‘overlook’ much more serious crimes from RINO’s and DEM’s who will ‘cow-tow’ to the elite ruling class legislation. Mike Johnson comes to mind…..what a ‘fake’ he has been and given is propensity to cave to the pressures of the swamp, they’ve left him alone, as they have many, many other congressmen.
