The former CEO of a Memphis-based bank has been sentenced after pleading guilty to charges of child pornography.

69-year-old Robert “Bob” Hartheimer, former CEO of Evolve Bank, was sentenced to 51 months (4.25 years) in prison, plus an additional five years of supervised released. He was also told that he would be required to register as a sex offender.

Hartheimer pleaded guilty to an attempt to produce child pornography as well as coercion and enticement of a minor back in January.

According to prosecutors, he communicated on the Grindr dating app with federal agents posing as a 15-year-old boy. Harheimer is said to have made arrangements to meet with the boy.

He also sent sexually explicit messages and lewd photographs and requested to video chat.

Hartheimer was facing up to 30 years in prison for the pornography charges, along with up to 10 years for the coercion and enticement. Prior qualifying charges could have seen that upped to life in prison.

Despite the fact that prosecutors argued that the severity of the charges warranted a harsher sentence, the judge gave Hartheimer a lighter sentence due to his age.
