Gary Kuehn Booked on Misdemeanor Charge

Hamilton County, TN – On October 23, 2022, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Warrants division noticed an active warrant for Mr. Gary Kuehn while operating within the Harrison area.

The detective made contact with Mr. Kuehn and advised him that he had an active warrant, and made arrangements for Mr. Kuehn to turn himself in for processing on the morning of October 23rd.

FOX17 acquired a report that states that the alleged incident happened in the exam room of a doctor’s office.

The report states that on August 18th of 2017, a nurse notified police of the incident.

According to the report, the nurse administered a testosterone injection into Kuehn’s buttock and he followed by asking her if it would give him an erection.

The nurse replied that he should ask the doctor about that but, according to the report, Kuehn “pulled out his penis and began to stroke it making it hard.”

The nurse responded by collecting her equipment and telling Kuehn that she had to leave.

The report says that as she turned to leave, Kuehn called out to her telling her not to go and continued to stroke himself in front of her.  The nurse reportedly left the room and immediately told a doctor.

According to the Chattanoogan’s report, the nurse indicated that she did want to prosecute.

FOX17 obtained a statement from Kuehn by way of a Hamilton County School spokesperson.

The statement reads:

“Over 5 years ago, I went to the doctor’s office for a shot. I was partially disrobed while receiving the shot from a nurse. After receiving the shot, to compensate for my embarrassment, I made light of the embarrassing situation with a comment the nurse found to be offensive.

I tried to apologize for offending her, but she walked out of the office. I was deeply sorry for my actions.

I truly did not know I had an outstanding warrant of over 5 years, and once known, I complied with the police directives.

On advice from counsel, I have no further comments.”

Kuehn was one of 5 newly elected individuals to  the Hamilton County School Board in August. He won his seat by getting just over 3,600 votes.

District 9 includes the following schools:

• Brown Middle School

• Central High School

• Harrison Bay Future Ready Center

• Harrison Elementary School

• Hunter Middle School

• Snow Hill Elementary School

• Wallace A. Smith Elementary School
