An illegal alien was arrested in Knox County on Tuesday after allegedly kidnapping his ex-girlfriend.
25-year-old Wilson Rodriguez Garcia was charged with aggravated kidnapping after police say he blocked a vehicle and then forced his ex-girlfriend from the car before driving away with her.
Police responded to a call from a man who said he was helping an employee get her personal belongings from a house on Cedar Avenue. The victim reportedly ran from inside the home and said that Garcia, her ex-boyfriend, was wielding a knife.
As the man attempted to leave with the woman, Garcia allegedly blocked them with his vehicle and then forced the woman into his car.
After a brief investigation, police located Garcia with the victim at a motel in Morristown. He was detained and then transported back to the Knox County Jail where he was charged with aggravated kidnapping.
Knoxville police also arrested 37-year-old Arturo Calisto Ramirez on July 20. He was charged with domestic assault and was booked on a $5000 bond.
In Davidson County, police arrested 35-year-old Esvin Carrillo-Martinez on July 20. He was charged with assault with bodily injury on a law enforcement officer, resisting stop/frist/halt/arrest/search, evading arrest, and driving under the influence. He was booked on a $10,000 total bond.
Inmate records show that these individuals currently have immigrant detainers and will remain in custody until released to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. An ICE hold most likely means they are in this country illegally.
