Tennessee Conservative News [Staff] –
Metro Nashville County officials expanded the income limit for their property tax relief and freeze programs, potentially allowing more homeowners in Davidson County to qualify.
The qualifying income limit for the property tax relief program increased by $1000, bringing that threshold to $38,470.
The qualifying income limit for the property freeze program rose to $63,470 after an increase of around $1500.

Residents can qualify by submitting documentation of their 2025 income. Determinations will be based on the income of the resident and their spouse.
Both programs are covered by a combination of state and Metro government funds and help to ease the burden of property taxes for older residents, disabled veterans, and disabled homeowners.
The property tax relief program reduces property taxes by providing government-funded aid. The freeze program allows owners to lock in their property tax rates, keeping them from feeling the stress of increased taxes later.
Property tax rates have been a hot topic in Davidson County over recent weeks, with some residents saying theirs rose as much as 400% this year.
