Kids And Pros Football Clinic Returns To Chattanooga

Chattanooga, TN – Kids and Pros Football will be celebrating their 11th year in Chattanooga, this year with a Free 3-hour clinic at the Boyd Buchanan School.

The clinic will take place on Saturday, April 10th from 9AM – Noon EST at the Boyd Buchanan school located on 4650 Buccaneer Trail, Chattanooga, TN 37411. 

Buddy Curry, former NFL All-Pro Linebacker, and former NFL All-Pro Cornerback, Bobby Butler, are co-owners of the camp and work together with other former local pro and college standouts; along with local coaches, to teach basic football techniques. 

They use football to teach kids 5 core principles: Sportsmanship, Integrity, Excellence, Perseverance, and Teamwork.

Kids & Pros has crisscrossed the United States to teach proper football techniques and life skills to more than 63,000 young athletes.  

Founded in 2002 by former Atlanta Falcons Buddy Curry and Bobby Butler, Kids & Pros is a non-profit 501c3 corporation and character-based youth sports organization that engages current and retired NFL Players in communities across the nation to teach football fundamental skills & character lessons to youth ages 7 – 13.

Founded in 2002, Kids & Pros hosted its first Summer Camp at North Dekalb Park in Doraville, GA. Former Atlanta Falcons Buddy Curry, Bobby Butler, Floyd Hodge, Robert Moore and Stacey Bailey trained 135 kids. 

Building from there, Kids & Pros achieved several major milestones by 2008, including becoming a non-profit, hosting their first out of state camps in Danville, VA and Tallahassee, FL, holding their first Pros & Joes game in Tallahassee, and producing their first Coaches Clinics. 

The next few years would see continued growth and success.  

Receiving a 2009 grant from the Atlanta Falcon’s Youth Foundation, adding One-Day Clinics in 2010, and expanding to 10 summer camps in 2011.  

By 2013, Kids & Pros had trained over 15,000 kids throughout the Southeast–with over 2,000 of those attendees receiving scholarships thanks to sponsors. In 2016, that 15,000 had grown to over 40,000. 

Committed to supporting young athletes and promoting player safety, Kids & Pros has also been involved in various initiatives.  

In 2011, Kids & Pros launched an equipment donation program to benefit Atlanta public schools and the Atlanta city Parks & Recreation Youth Football Program.  

In partnership with the Atlanta Falcons, Kids & Pros and the Atlanta Falcons Youth Foundation began hosting parent info sessions across Georgia.  

They taught parents about equipment fitting, concussion awareness, and other relevant topics. And in 2014, Kids & Pros Executive Director Buddy Curry was invited to serve on the National Council on Youth Safety. 

Today, Kids & Pros has reached more than 63,000 young athletes through camps, clinics, #Gamechangers presentations and other events.

Past Kids & Pros special guests have included Dan Reeves, Jerome Bettis, Levon Kirkland, Tommy Nobis, Chris Slade, Jesse Tuggle, DeAngelo Williams, Morten Anderson, Brian Finneran, Dave Archer, William Andrews, Kevin Butler, Joe Hamilton, Joe Jacoby, Brad Nessler, Gerald Riggs, Dan Quinn and Jeff Bostic.
