Thoughts From My Armchair…

I recall an era when comedy albums were extremely popular. Artists like Albert Brooks, Gabe Kaplin, George Carlin, Cheech and Chong, Bill Cosby just to name a few. Several cast members from Saturday Night Live were thrown into the mix with performances contained in an irreverent stage play and subsequent album called “Lemmings”.
Produced and penned by writers from National Lampoon Magazine and performed by several members of the SNL team, it became a classic. The stage version titled a “mock rock festival” aptly named “Woodshuck”, “Three Days of Peace, Love and Death” began the mayhem.
The album cover was a depiction of the famous rendition of the Woodstock photo of the crowd at the actual Woodstock festival in the foreground with the stage and iconic light tower in the background. Humans were replaced by scores of “Lemmings.”
The album is available on eBay and is worth a look. Use the available magnification of the cover just to reveal the individual lemmings doing their “thing”. According to several sources” and according to urban legend, “lemmings are small rodents known for possessing instincts that cause them to, “periodically, charge en masse, off cliffs, with the end result being their death”. The album is one of my cherished favorites from my youth.
I could not get the vision of lemmings about to jump off the proverbial cliff out of mind while sitting through the current news of the protests and marches of flag bearing, misguided, misinformed “individuals” (I don’t think there is one individual thinker in the bunch), bearing signs proclaiming FREE Palestine and glorifying HAMAS and demanding a Caliphate.
“From the River to the SEA!” Really? Do they know what they are asking for? They fail to mention. Free the Palestinians from who? If memory serves Israel set aside the Gaza Strip (occupied by Egypt) and West bank (ruled by Jordan) in 1949.
According to several sources and historically speaking, “Gaza and the West Bank are two regions that were part of the former British Mandate for Palestine. They were captured by Israel during the Six-Day War of 1967 and have been occupied by Israel since then .
However, The Oslo Accords, signed in 1993, created the Palestinian Authority, which would establish the West Bank and Gaza as one geopolitical unit .
However, the Hamas takeover of Gaza in 2007 divided the Palestinian territories politically. Abbas’s Fatah largely ruled the West Bank and was recognized internationally as the official Palestinian (National) Authority”.
These facts being said, shouldn’t the protests and rants be directed at HAMAS and not Israel? It appears to several observers who read and listen to facts that the Palestinian Authority made a huge error by allowing HAMAS any power over the region whatsoever! The Evil of the Hamas. AKA the Muslim Brotherhood is well documented.
Now about the rodents mentioned in the title. We all have heard stories of how rodents, rats and cockroaches have burrowed into and inhabited most every large population center in America. Tunnel dwellers. Disease laden creatures who live in the shadows and come out during the cover of darkness. Entities who only care about guarding their lifestyle from harm and maintaining their species. Pests that are extremely difficult to eradicate. Even live side by side with. Evil forces beget evil. Don’t misunderstand. Anyone who murders, beheads, rapes, pillages, burns alive and destroys just for the sake of doing it is EVIL.
Here is what the current protest signs should read:
RETURN PALESTINE TO THE PALESTINIAN AUTHORITY!
NEGOTIATE TRUTH!
DESTROY HAMAS! DOWN WITH THE MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD
PRAISE GOD NOT MURDERERS!

The “Squad”, now the National Hamas Party has been affectionately renamed “Omar’s Angels”. Ms. Ilhan Omar has been named self-appointed spokesperson and Rashida Talib “Sergeant at Arms”. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez will take over the Department of Health, Humanity and Wishful thinking.
Former senator Charles Schumer officially takes over as permanent leader of the reorganized Senate.
Delaware, now surrounded by an impenetrable wall, will remain the compound for the Biden Department of the Treasury.

I think the US should ban all Palestinians from the US. They can’t get along with the Jews and are trouble-makers. I’m not Jewish.
It is sad when a bunch of Mush brain students and others condone terrorist activity. If they are so concerned, board them on a jet heading to the middle east and see how many go and hide!! Just more cowards like the terrorist.
Well, this is one side of it and, of course, Republicans need a non-White avatar, responding with uncommon alacrity vs Audrey Hale’s anti-Whiate manifesto and massacre.
“Anti-Semitism” is lot eaier to “fight”. It was original identity-victimhood politics!
The problem is, when ISreal calls Palestinains “human animals”, they may as well include Mohammed bin Salman, Erdogen and al Sisi. Even if they don’t take it perosnally, although they likley do, they represent nations of millions who take it personally.
Republicans backing this up must have been raised in a barn: hardly the language of diplomacy.
But it’s a cool way to convince everyone that they really are an oppostion party, which hardly true, since Joe Biden is all for a regional war too, now that Ukraine has ended in graveyards, literally.
Likely enough, that’s where Isreal will wind up too. Natenyahu sounds a lot like Zelensky, corrupt charges, and Isrealis realizing that his military solution didn’t work. He also abrogated the Oslo Accords and got American support doing it.
Kind of like the Minsk Agreements.
That means, in terms of 5G Warfre, we are a belligerant as the entire region attacks ISreal.
You can talk all the politcs and treaties, but the “Jewish State” can “defend itself” only by liquidating everyone else. Jews have never let up on the Germans for that sort of thing but to point out the hypocisy would be anti-Semtic, I suppose. It is in Florida.
Why not wipe “Isreal” off the map like the Ottoman Empire. The people are still there. Well, some of them. Create a pluralist, secualr state with equal rights for all “citiziens”, like Syria! And call it something else.
Otherwise, just suck it up. Wars suck.
I don’t really now the answer for these people but I do know what Isreal does with American support and that’s enough to make a Palestinian out of anyone.
Remember, the “Uniparty” wouldn’t mind doing the same thing to us. We’re already “domestic terrorists” and no one has yet challenged using “drone strikes on American citizines on American soil” since Eric Holder and Obama OK’d the idea.
Careful what you ask for.
BTW : next time, do mention the Nakbah, Irgun, ect.
