Tennessee Conservative News [By Paula Gomes] –
A Memphis-Shelby County Schools (MSCS) employee stabbed a man numerous times with a pen in a shocking attack last Thursday on school property.
Employed as a School Nutrition Supervisor at American Way Middle School, thirty-six-year-old Braxton Stewart assaulted a delivery driver who arrived at the school behind schedule. The two got into a heated argument around 9:30 in the morning which escalated into a physical altercation.

During the fight, Stewart stabbed the man at least six times. Memphis police saw evidence that the driver had four puncture wounds to his back, the left side of his neck had been punctured, and Stewart had also struck him between the eyes. The victim’s wounds necessitated that he be taken to a nearby hospital where it was determined that his injuries were not life threatening.
According to an expired job listing for MSCS, the position of School Nutrition Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operations of the school cafeteria and for supervising cafeteria staff.
The position also requires the ordering of foods and supplies among other responsibilities. As School Nutrition Supervisor, Stewart served as “coach and mentor” for staff which included counseling and disciplining other MSCS employees.
After Memphis police arrived at the school to investigate, Stewart was taken into custody and subsequently charged with aggravated assault.
Stewart was due in court Monday while waiting for his bond to be set.
