The Tennessee Conservative [By Paula Gomes] –
A Mexican national, sentenced to 15 months in a federal prison earlier this week in Chattanooga, was listed by ICE as one of the “worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens” last December.
Pablo Jacinto-Torres, 32, pleaded guilty to illegal reentry into the United States in January and faced a maximum 2-year sentence.
According to a complaint filed in Chattanooga’s federal court, Jacinto-Torres was removed from the country once before after he received a 6-year sentence for intent to distribute methamphetamine in Arkansas to which he also pleaded guilty.
Upon his arrest on May 15th, 2017, Jacinto-Torres had his vehicle searched by Springdale police in Arkansas. The search revealed cash, digital scales, and marijuana. Officers later found approximately 150 grams of methamphetamine at his residence where his infant child and girlfriend were present.

According to court records, Jacinto-Torres was deported to Mexico near Brownsville, Texas, in early August of 2022. Federal agents found that he had once again entered the country illegally when they located him in Bradley County over 3 years later.
During sentencing for his current charges, Jacinto-Torres was permitted to address the court. He apologized to the government for crossing the border without authorization, saying it was not the right way to enter the country.
The Mexican national was ordered to serve 12 months of supervised release and substance abuse treatment in addition to jail time. The court also waived Jacinto Torres’ fine due to inability to pay.
Before his sentencing, federal prosecutor Russ Swafford stated that Jacinto-Torres will likely be deported as he is not a first-time offender.
