Tennessee Conservative News Staff –
Several students have been expelled and the head of school has been placed on administrative leave after reports of a sexual assault that happened at St. George’s Independent School in Collierville.
The St. George’s Board of Trustees sent a letter to families of the school stating that a report had been received on November 5 regarding an alleged assault that took place in October. The incident is said to have occurred after school hours in an athletic building at the upper school campus located on Wolf River Boulevard.

The Collierville Police Department is investigating the incident. No charges have been filed at this time.
Alongside the expulsions, Head of School Luke Pruett has been placed on administrative leave while the Board conducts its own internal investigation.
It remains unclear what led to the decision to place Pruett on leave, as the school has issued a statement saying that Pruett was not involved in the incident. The board stated that Pruett’s leave was standard procedure while the investigation is ongoing.
Associate Head of School Pamela McCarthy will lead the school as the investigation continues.
“The Board will conduct a comprehensive review of all related policies and practices and take whatever actions are necessary to strengthen the safety of our students and the integrity of our St. George’s culture,” the letter stated.
