Nashville Crime Overflows To Surrounding Communities

The Tennessee Conservative Staff –

Mt. Juliet police recently arrested two juveniles from Nashville that were charged after being found with stolen car keys and credit cards.

Crime, apparently, knows no boundaries. This is just the latest incident as Mt. Juliet police continue to deal with crime that is infiltrating the city from bordering areas.

According to Mt. Juliet Police Captain Tyler Chandler, most of the hits received from license plate readers lead them to find the suspects in Nashville.

“We are a unique community where the majority of people that we arrest for crimes do not live in our city,” Chandler said.

Chandler reports that, out of 198 license plate hits, 150 of them were traced back to alleged criminals who live in Nashville.

Mt. Juliet is not the only city dealing with crime from bordering communities. Lebanon police arrested three individuals last week for stealing thousands of dollars from a local business. All three had several outstanding warrants from Nashville.

Nashville crime statistics have shown an increase in homicides and property thefts in recent months, and many residents fear that the rising crime situation may continue to bleed over into their towns.

How many of these are repeat offenders?

If they are not prosecuted and set free to roam the streets, they will keep doing it.
