National Coming Out Day Just One Of Many Fall Events On The Calendar For School GSA Clubs

National Coming Out Day, recognized annually on October 11th, is just one of many events on the calendar this fall for school Gay Straight Alliance or Genders and Sexualties Alliance (GSA) clubs in Tennessee. The month of October, dubbed “LGBTQ History Month” has five events specific to LGBTQ issues according to GLSEN

GLSEN (pronounced glisten) stands for Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network – an organization that supports GSA clubs in schools.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) spent $85 million in grants, beginning in 2018 on a five year program ending in 2023 that requires participating public schools to start or enhance existing GSA clubs.

According to the CDC, “A GSA is a student-led club, typically run in a middle or high school, which creates a safe space for students to socialize, support each other, discuss issues related to sexual orientation and gender identity and expression, and work to end homophobia and transphobia in their school and/or broader community.”

Middle and High school GSA clubs have already had the opportunity to recognize Bisexual Awareness Week and Celebrate Bisexuality Day in September.

Regarding National Coming Out Day, GLSEN says, “Coming out can happen in many forms, from telling your family and friends about your sexuality to simply correcting a stranger about your gender identity. No two coming out stories are exactly the same; your coming out will be shaped by the supports that you have in school, at home, or in your community, and the privileges you hold in other aspects of your identity.”

GLSEN also marks the month of October as “Islamic Heritage Month” – a strange bedfellow given that the 11 countries where being gay is punishable by death are muslim – but Juno Dawson, author of This Book Is Gay says that the Quran, the holy book of Islam, does not “explicitly forbid homosexual behavior.”

The other events listed for October are:

GLSEN Respect Awards (October 14th)

• International Pronouns Day (October 21st)

• Asexual Awareness Week (October 23rd – 30th)

• Intersex Awareness Day (October 26th)

November is dedicated to all things Transgender:

• Trans Parent Day (November 6th)

• Transgender Awareness Week (November 13th – 19th)

• Transgender Day of Remembrance (November 20th)

Enough already. Call it what you will this is nothing more than sexual deviant behavior. These people just have reprobate minds. If this is what you want to do in the privacy of your home so be it. I for one don’t care anything about your immoral lifestyle. If you don’t want criticism about your lifestyle keep it private and to yourself. Everyone will stand before God and have to give an account of their life. Repent now for your sin because no one wants to spend eternity in the lake of fire. It is a real place. I do have a question. What do nature centers and museums have to do with holding drag shows and calling them family friendly? There is nothing family friendly about this perverse lifestyle. God calls this an abomination.
In God we trust not government or man.
    Have a blessed day.

Why must WE restrict the things we talk about that happen to be different than other people’s ideas? You say you “don’t care anything about” our “immoral lifestyle” yet you write this whole comment about it? Why don’t you keep your own immoral beliefs in within YOUR own home and not online where everyone can see them.

Comments like yours do more damage to our society than all the drag shows in this country combined.

Also, if you actually read the Bible, God does not approve of any hatred towards others. NONE. So if I end up in that eternal lake of fire you speak of, I’ll save you a seat. Stop posting hatred online about things that don’t affect your life. Christianity is supposed to be based on love not hate. Please actually read the book sometime.

Richard Miller maybe you should read the whole Bible before you pick and choose so you can justify your perverted lifestyle. God says hate the sin but love the sinner. I comment because people with this lifestyle will be condemned to the lake of fire and as a Christian I don’t want to see anybody perish. You won’t have to save me a seat. I have accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. How about you? Yes the Bible is about love but it is also about laws of mankind. The words in the Bible are God’s not mine. Let me give you a few examples.
        Leviticus 20:13 NIV
” ‘If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.
        Deuteronomy 22:5 NIV
A woman must not wear men’s clothing, nor a man wear women’s clothing, for the Lord your God detests anyone who does this.
        1 Corinthians 6:9 NIV
Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men.
        1 Timothy 1:10-11 NIV
for the sexually immoral, for those practicing homosexuality, for slave traders and liars and perjurers–and for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine that conforms to the gospel concerning the glory of the blessed God, which entrusted to me.
Richard Miller, I do read the Bible. As you can see the Lord our God does not approve of this lifestyle. I like how you deflect and say my beliefs are immoral. I will be praying for you to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. But you will have to repent for your sins.

In God we trust not government or man.
Richard Miller I pray you have blessed day.

This is totally disgusting and these should not be celebrated. It should be condemmed everywhere especially here in TN. The heart of the Bible belt. Like the other writer stated, These people like everyone else will stand before God and give account. Satin will not help them then

It is troubling that these groups are having such success in normalizing this lifestyle. Christian parents had better make sure they are discussing this issue with their kids, though I fear discussion will do very little when they are bombarded with it all day at school and through social media and television. If we are going to protect the younger generation, we are going to have to get really serious about what we allow them exposure to in their formative years. Yes, I am talking about sheltering them from this evil. I wonder if parents have the tenacity to work toward such a goal.

Please read The Return of the Gods by Jonathan Cahn. It helped me to understand what is going on in America.
