Press Release –

Kingsport, TN – Conservative Candidate for Tennessee Senate District 4 released the following statement on the Senate’s failure to ban pride flags from the classrooms and protect our children from indoctrination.

“I am sickened and worried at Jon Lundberg and the Senate’s inability to protect our children from radical indoctrination. The classroom is no place for extreme gender ideology,” said Harshbarger, “Lundberg is quick to tout his position in leadership, why didn’t he use his leadership to protect our children?

Background:

In a Hail Mary effort to save his campaign, Jon Lundberg conspired with Randy McNally and Senate leadership to make it appear like he supports banning the pride flag from classrooms, but voters know he opposed the measure at every opportunity preceding the floor vote.

Randy McNally voted with the Democrats against the measure, and 12 other Republicans abstained from voting, causing the bill to fail. This is totally at odds with East Tennessee values, and he will pay the price at the ballot box in August.

As Chairman of the education committee, Lundberg should have done everything in his power to protect our children in the classroom, but he failed us time and time again.

Theodore Roosevelt said, “In America there is room for but one language and that is English, there is room but for one flag and that is the American Flag.” He spoke of those who call themselves something other than simply American. If you call yourself a hyphenated American you are not a true American. I agree with that sentiment 100%.
