As lawmakers gaveled in for Tennessee’s special session on school vouchers, flood relief, and illegal immigration, local high school students filled seats in the House Gallery, gathered outside the legislative chamber, and lined the steps of the state’s Capitol building to protest guns in light of a recent school shooting.

Seniors at Hume-Fogg High School in Nashville and Organizer of the “Rally for Antioch,” Hannah Mosher, told Fox 17 News that “Every school shooting affects every student in the state of Tennessee.”

“We are all scared,” said Mosher, “and we really need legislative action as soon as possible so this does not happen again.”

Hume-Fogg High School let students leave school early in order to participate in the goings-on at the Capitol.

While many students carried signs in favor of red flag laws and the like, doing their best to attract the attention of state lawmakers, there were a select few conservative Hume-Fogg students who showed up on Monday to simply observe the protests in good faith.

Student protesters were joined in their efforts by Covenant School parents and Tennessee’s “routine” Capitol protesters.

Democrat Rep. Jason Powell (D-Nashville-District 53) stated previously that he wanted to see school shootings and gun violence addressed under this special session in addition to what the governor had already outlined in his call.

  1. Want to know what’s wrong with the “Education System”, this Student protest is a good example.

Here we have the “Teachers” and Lord knows who else, giving the Student the idea that the “Constitution” can be changed just by legislation and the Rights contained in the Bill of Rights can be “TAKEN AWAY” anytime the government “FEELS” they are “UNSAFE” for citizens to have.

Is it any wonder Kids grow up thinking they have no other recourse to resolve their problems than to start shooting???

Today, Just as the Bible said would come to pass, everything would be “Backwards”,

Isa 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

We’ve got people called “Educators” who are dumbing students down instead of increasing their knowledge.

And the Politicians are on the bottom of the scale.
