Mecum Auctions recently announced the addition of a live collector car auction to be held at the Chattanooga Convention Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee, this Oct. 15-16.

This newly added event will run concurrent to the Chattanooga Motorcar Festival, which is set to celebrate its second year after a highly successful start back in 2019.

Mecum’s auction is slated to feature an estimated 600 vintage and collectible cars crossing the block over the two auction days, with offerings ranging from classic American muscle cars to Corvettes, race cars, exotics, customs and more.

The beautiful city of Chattanooga is located within a day’s drive of more than half the population of the United States, and its attractive and historic downtown is an idyllic setting for any large-scale event, making it an excellent choice for a Mecum auction.

Mecum Chief Operating Officer, Sam Murtaugh, said, “With Chattanooga’s prime, central location near the heart of the U.S., coupled with the excitement already stirred by the Chattanooga Motorcar Festival, this new event is certain to be a welcome addition to the Mecum auction calendar, one appreciated by both our current customers as well as by the attendees of the festival.”

“We’re excited to see enthusiasts from all over the country come together to enjoy this automotive extravaganza; it will be yet another great opportunity to showcase what the Mecum Experience is all about,” said Murtaugh.

The auction dates and its location in the heart of downtown position it perfectly to complement the action and excitement of the Chattanooga Motorcar Festival—an expansive event that takes over the streets of downtown Chattanooga for three days, Oct. 15-17, for a wheel-to-wheel race, a road rally and the culmination of an organized concours d’elegance.

More details on the auction are forthcoming and can be found by visiting Mecum.com, which will also feature a list of vehicles to be offered along with photos and information on each.

To consign a vehicle or to register as a bidder for this and all Mecum auctions, visit Mecum.com, or call (262) 275-5050 for more information.
