Police in both Davidson County and Knox County arrested illegal aliens on charges including aggravated assault, DUI, possession of a controlled substance, and more.

26-year-old Stephany Jazmin Munguia Andino was arrested in Davidson County on August 5. She was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was booked on a $35,000 bond.

On August 7, 30-year-old Kevin Rodolfo Lopez Garcia was arrested for violation of probation, no driver’s license, and possession/casual exchange of a controlled substance. He was booked with a $17,500 bond. Garcia had previously been found guilty of misdemeanor DUI that occurred in 2022. He was not prosecuted at that time for a charge of no driver’s license. Another charge of no driver’s license was dismissed with costs in 2020.

Authorities with the DCSO also arrested 38-year-old Iris Reyes Oveida on August 8 for driving under the influence, no driver’s license, and violation of implied consent and the open container law. She was booked into the female Correctional Development Center on a $4,000 bond.

In Knox County, 39-year-old Dayra Yoni Vasquez was arrested on August 7 on charges of domestic assault. Vasquez was held on a $1000 bond and is due to return to court on September 15.

Inmate records show that all of the above individuals are now being held on immigrant detainers.

They will remain in custody until they are released to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

An ICE detainer means these individuals are most likely in this country illegally.
