A number of illegal aliens were arrested in both Davidson and Knox Counties over the last few days on charges ranging from driving under the influence to aggravated assault.
19-year-old Roberto Carlos Lopez was arrested by Davidson County police on Sunday, October 19. He was charged with driving under the influence and driving without a license. He was booked on a $3500 bond.
Police also arrested 36-year-old Jose Luis Calderon on October 19. Calderon was charged with two counts of violation of probation, resisting arrest, and aggravated assault (strangulation). He was booked on a $77,000 bond. Calderon’s probation violation stems from a 2024 charge of driving under the influence.
On Monday, October 20, 40-year-old Levi Ramon Troconis Flores was arrested. Flores was charged with an order of protection violation and was booked on a $1000 bond.
19-year-old Marcos Ottoniel Caal Caal was arrested on Tuesday, October 21. Caal was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was booked on a $10,000 bond.
Police also arrested 24-year-old Brandon Navarro Juarez on October 21 on charges of DUI, criminal impersonation, and no driver’s license. He was booked on a $4000 bond. He was previously charged with not having a driver’s license and unlawful removal of a plate decal in 2020.
Knox County police arrested 26-year-old Jose Mideros on Sunday, October 20. Mideros was charged with driving without a license.
Inmate records show that all these individuals now have immigrant detainer holds.
They will remain in custody until they are released to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
An ICE hold most likely means these individuals are in this country illegally.
