Law enforcement officials rounded up several illegal aliens over the last couple of days for DUI, aggravated assault, and more.
37-year-old Luis Hernandez Redondo was arrested by Davidson County police on Sunday, August 3. He was charged with driving under the influence and no driver’s license. He was booked with a $1500 total bond.
Police also arrested 22-year-old Nelson Martin Tut Gutz on Sunday for felony aggravated assault/strangulation. He was also charged with failure to appear for a felony charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon that stemmed from an incident in August 2023.
DCSO arrested several individuals on Monday, August 4:
32-year-old Nelson Sanchez Salazar was charged with misdemeanor trespassing. He was booked with a $500 bond.
29-year-old Esteban Perez was charged with driving under the influence, an open container violation, no driver’s license, leaving the scene of an accident, possession or casual exchange of a controlled substance, and two counts of failure to appear. The FTA charges stem from a 2023 DUI and charge of no driver’s license. He was booked on a total bond of $27,300.
27-year-old Lucas-Alonzo Baltazar was charged with a misdemeanor probation violation and was booked on a $10,000 bond. He was on probation for a DUI charge from August 2024. Records indicate that Baltazar also has a domestic assault charge from January 2024 that is listed as “retired.”
41-year-old Alfredo J. Gonzales Castellanos was charged with misdemeanor trespassing and booked with a $500 bond. Records show that Castellanos has pending charges from April 2025 for vandalism of government property, DUI, and violation of open container and implied consent laws.
24-year-old Alejandro Jose Leal Carrasquero was also charged with misdemeanor trespassing. He was given a $500 bond.
36-year-old Carlos Alfredo Sanchez Rangel was charged with misdemeanor trespassing. He was booked on a $500 bond.
20-year-old Vilma Yossenia Coc Ich was charged with domestic assault/provocative conduct. She was booked with a $1000 bond.
Knox County police arrested 27-year-old Jesus Rodriguez Rivera on August 4. He was charged with DUI: first offense.
Inmate records show that all of the above individuals now have immigration detainer holds.
They will remain in custody until they are released to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
An ICE detainer most likely means these individuals are in the country illegally.
