Davidson County police continue to round up illegal aliens who are guilty of criminal activity.

42-year-old Luis Manuel Chacon-Osorio was arrested on May 23 and charged with felony Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. He was booked into the Maximum Correctional Center on a $20,000 bond. He is scheduled to be back in court this week on trial.

More recently, the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office arrested 35-year-old Roni Dagoberto Martinez-Majano on drug charges Tuesday. Martinez-Marjano is charged with possession or casual exchange of a controlled substance, possession without a prescription, resisting search, no driver’s license, and trespassing. He was booked on a total bond of $3500.

Martinez-Marjano was previously cited in 2015 and 2018 for no driver’s license. Both of those charges were dismissed.

Inmate records now show that both of these individuals have an immigrant detainer hold. They will remain in custody until they are released to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. An ICE hold most likely means that they are in this country illegally.
