More illegal aliens are behind bars after being arrested in Davidson and Knox Counties.
Davidson County police arrested four individuals on August 11:
27-year-old Ezequal Osiris Bartes-Ortez was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and no driver’s license. He was booked on a $4000 bond.
40-year-old Alfredo Ramirez Bautista was arrested and charged with vandalism $1000 or less. He was booked into the Downtown Detention Center on a $1000 bond. Bautista has a number of criminal charges in Davidson County. He was found guilty of driving without a license in 2006, twice in 2009, and again in 2015. A charge of domestic assault was dismissed in 2014, and another charge of no driver’s license was dismissed with costs in 2018.
26-year-old Nohemi Portillo Nataren was arrested on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She was booked on a $10,000 bond.
40-year-old Carlos Alberto Valbuena Chirinos was arrested and charged with felony aggravated burglary and vandalism $1000 or less. He was booked on a $7500 total bond.
In Knox County, police arrested 40-year-old Marvin J. Lopez Cabrera. He was charged with dui: first offense, failure to use headlights during inclement weather, violation of the open container law, and failure to follow laws regarding driving of vehicles on roadways laned for traffic.
Also arrested was 46-year-old Migdonio Cruz. Cruz was charged with dui: first offense.
Inmate records show that all of these individuals now have immigration detainer holds.
They will remain in custody until they are released to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
An ICE hold most likely means that these individuals are in the country illegally.
