More illegal aliens have found themselves behind bars in Tennessee on a variety of charges including assault, child neglect, and identity theft.
Police arrested 36-year-old Mario Roberto Aiya Maradiaga on Monday, September 15, on charges of theft of a firearm, assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a handgun while under the influence, resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia, vandalism, and failure to be booked. Maradiaga was previously charged with criminal trespassing earlier this year and had several dismissed charges from 2022, including assault with a deadly weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia.
30-year-old Cristian Martinez-Rodriguez was arrested on Tuesday, September 16. He was charged with driving under the influence (2nd offense) and driving on a revoked license. He was booked on a $6000 bond. He was previously found guilty of DUI in April 2024.
On Wednesday, September 17, 28-year-old Guierma Hilaria was arrested and charged with 2 felony counts of neglect of a child under the age of 8. Hilaria had two prior run-ins with law enforcement – once in 2019 and again in 2022, both for driving without a license.
Knox County police arrested 54-year-old Martin Reyes Martinez on September 16 on charges of identity theft and forgery. He was booked on a $24,000 bond.
Records indicate that all of these individuals have immigration detainers.
They will remain in custody until they are released to U.S. Immigration and Customs enforcement.
An ICE hold most likely means they are in this country illegally.
