Law enforcement officials in Davidson County and Knox County arrested several illegal aliens just before the weekend on a variety of charges including theft, assault, and identity theft.
Davidson County police arrested the following individuals:
40-year-old Joseph Cucumano Salvatore – arrested October 29
- Salvatore was charged with theft of property (under $1000) and domestic assault with bodily injury. He was booked on a $3000 bond. Salvatore had previous charges of assault, possession of contraband in jail, and vandalism in 2016. He also faced an aggravated assault charge in September 2025 that was dismissed.
23-year-old Kevin Alfredo Castro Pereira – arrested October 29
- Pereira was charged with felony motor vehicle burglary and theft of identity. He was booked on a $15,000 bond.
37-year-old Jairo Francisco Palma Betancourth – arrested October 31
- Betancourth was charged with aggravated assault (strangulation). He was booked on a $7500 bond. He was previously charged with having no driver’s license in 2020.
33-year-old Diego Gomez-Gomez – arrested October 31
- Gomez was charged with driving under the influence and no driver’s license. He was booked on a $3000 bond.
Knox County police recently arrested 31-year-old Cecilio Neptal Corrales-Gonzalez on October 30. Gonzalez was charged with driving without a license and was booked on a $1000 bond.
Inmate records show that these individuals all have immigrant detainers.
They will remain in custody until they are released to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
An ICE hold most likely means they are in this country illegally.
