Tennessee Conservative News Staff –
Both Davidson and Knox County police have been busy taking illegal aliens off the streets, including one illegal alien who was arrested and charged with attempted criminal homicide in conjunction with a shooting at a South Nashville apartment complex earlier this month.

27-year-old Damian P. Gomez-Perez was said to be arguing with another man at an apartment on Welch Road on May 15.
He then allegedly shot the man multiple times in the chest. The victim was transported to Vanderbilt Regional Medical Center.
Police held the Gomez-Perez at gunpoint until they were able to detain him. He was also taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries.
He is now in jail facing three charges: attempted criminal homicide, possession of a handgun while under the influence, and employing a firearm with intent during the commission of a dangerous felony.

Davidson County police also arrested the following illegal aliens:
19-year-old Carlos B. Roberto-Rodriguez – arrested May 20
- Roberto-Rodriguez was charged with domestic assault/provocative conduct, possession/casual exchange of a controlled substance, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and driver’s license required. He is being held on a $32,000 total bond.
22-year-old Angel Ralda Carreto – arrested May 24
- Carreto was charged with failure to be booked (state citation), 2 counts of failure to appear, and driver’s license required. The failure to appear and be booked charges stem from a DUI charge from November 2022 and an assault charge from December 2022. Carreto is being held on a $76,500 total bond.

36-year-old Edgar Lionel Pineda-Orozco – arrested May 24
- Pineda-Orozco was charged with misdemeanor probation violation, driving under the influence (3rd offense), driver’s license required, and leaving the scene of an accident with damage over $1500. He was booked on a $19,500 total bond. While Bernabe’s current charges list DUI 2nd offense, this is actually his fourth arrest for the same. He had a previously open charge for DUI and open container from July 2024, and he has two previous charges for DUI from October 2023 and December 2023 that have now been reopened. The probation violation and failure to appear charges stem from those incidents.

Inmate records show that both of these individuals currently have immigrant detainers and will remain in custody until released to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. An ICE hold most likely means they are in this country illegally.
