More illegal aliens have found their way into both Knox and Davidson County jails in the past few days on charges including domestic assault, child abuse, and driving under the influence.

Knox County police arrested 27-year-old Moises Joel Padilla Flores on July 10. Flores is charged with three counts of domestic assault. He is scheduled to appear in court for arraignment on the felony charges on July 16.

In Davidson County, 31-year-old Gloria Valenvuela was arrested on Sunday, July 13 and charged with two counts of felony aggravated child abuse. She was booked with an $80,000 bond.

51-year-old Candelario Ruiz Hernandez was also arrested on Sunday for driving under the influence, driving without a license, and leaving the scene of an accident. Hernandez faced charges of driving without a license back in 2020 as well, but those charges were dismissed at cost.

On Monday, DSCO arrested 26-year-old Manuela Arias. Arias is charged with domestic assault with fear of bodily injury and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She was given a $10,000 bond.

All of these individuals are currently shown to have immigration detainer holds. They will remain in jail until released to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

An ICE hold most likely means these individuals are in the country illegally.
