Davidson County police have captured a number of illegal aliens over the last couple of days, with charges ranging from DUI and child endangerment to domestic assault.
27-year-old Luis Delgado Jimenez was arrested on Sunday, September 21. He was charged with criminal impersonation, driving under the influence, and driving without a license.
Police also arrested 57-year-old Jose Miguel Giro on charges of domestic assault with bodily injury. He was booked on a $10,000 bond. Giro has a lengthy list of previous charges including aggravated assault, aggravated burglary, and an aggravated rape charge from 2019.
They arrested 47-year-old Rubio A. Hernandez as well on Sunday. He was charged with a probation violation. Hernandez had been found guilty in May 2011 of DUI.
41-year-old Jose Celestino Santos Ramos was arrested on Monday, September 22. He was charged with two counts of probation violation and was booked on a $1000 total bond. Ramos was found guilty of aggravated assault (strangulation) on March 20, 2024. He was previously found guilty of DUI in 2020 and DUI (2nd offense) in 2022.
Also arrested on Monday was 26-year-old Rema Nilay Gelvosa. She was charged with domestic assault with fear of bodily injury and was booked on a $1500 bond.
Police arrested 49-year-old Siluino Vasquez Dominguez on two counts of child endangerment, driving under the influence, and no driver’s license. He was booked on a total $8000 bond. Dominguez was previously charged for driving without a license in 2004 and 2011.
Records show that all of the above named individuals now have immigrant holds.
They will remain in custody until they are released to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. An ICE detainer most likely means they are in this country illegally.
