Davidson County law enforcement apprehended several illegal aliens on a wide range of charges including domestic abuse, DUI, evading arrest, and assault.
41-year-old Mariano Salazar was arrested on Tuesday, August 26, on a total of 15 charges. He was charged with violation of an order of protection, five counts of violation of a no contact order in relation to a domestic violence bond agreement, two counts of trespassing, failure to appear, vandalism ($1000 or less), two counts of domestic assault with fear of bodily injury, aggravated assault, aggravated stalking, and stalking. He was booked on a total $86,500 bond. The series of violations stem from a 2023 domestic assault case.
31-year-old Jairo Abigail Vasquez-Soto was arrested on Wednesday, August 27. He was charged with domestic assault with bodily injury and was booked on a $2000 bond.
Police also arrested 19-year-old Emilio Lopez Lopez Rodriguez on Wednesday. Rodriguez was charged with felony evading arrest with a motor vehicle.
37-year-old Mateo Carmelo-Bartolo was also charged Wednesday for three counts of failure to appear. He was booked on a $12,000 bond. He was previously due to appear in court on charges of driving without a license, DUI, and violation of the open container law.
38-year-old Raymundo D. Lopez Gonzalez was arrested on Thursday, August 28. He was charged with aggravated assault (strangulation) and booked on a $10,000 bond.
Inmate records now show that all of these individuals have immigration detainer holds.
They will remain in custody until they are released to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
An ICE hold most likely means they are in this country illegally.
