Several illegal aliens were arrested recently in Knox County on a number of drug, DUI charges and more.
30-year-old Cristian Munguia was arrested on August 13. He is charged with possession of schedule II drugs (cocaine – .5 grams or greater) and criminal simulation between $2500 and $10,000. He was placed in jail with a $35,000 bond.
Police also arrested 26-year-old Andres Castro on the same drug and criminal simulation charges. His bond was set at $35,000.
Also arrested that day was 32-year-old Elvin Sanchez. Sanchez is also facing charges of possession of schedule II drugs (cocaine – .5 grams or greater). He was given a $30,000 bond.
On August 17, police arrested 24-year-old Jose Boyzo-Munoz and charged him with DUI: first offense and evading arrest/flight. He was given a $1500 bond.
Police arrested 43-year-old Everardo Garcia for DUI: first offense. He was booked on a $2000 bond.
All five of these men now have immigration detainer holds.
They will remain in custody until they are released to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
An ICE hold most likely means they are in this country illegally.
