Tennessee Conservative News Staff –
Across Tennessee, criminal illegal aliens are being placed on detainer by ICE after being arrested for a variety of crimes.

Hamilton County
A previously-deported felon from Mexico was sentenced to 15 months in prison by a federal judge in Hamilton after being arrested during a December traffic stop in Chattanooga.
39-year-old Isidro Soto-Rodriguez had a prior conviction of child molestation in Gwinnett County, Georgia. He served approximately 16 months of his 10-year sentence for that crime before being deported to Mexico.

After being arrested for three traffic violations in Chattanooga last December, Soto-Rodriguez pleaded guilty to reentering the United States in June 2012. He has been sentenced to 15 months in prison, plus one year of supervised release, along with a $100 special assessment fee.
Arresting officers discovered Soto-Rodriguez’s immigration status while checking a national database for outstanding warrants after he was unable to provide them with a driver’s license or proof of insurance. A detainer was placed on Soto-Rodriguez after he was booked on the traffic violations, which have since been dropped.
Rutherford County
A statement from the Department of Homeland Security featured news of the arrest of a criminal illegal alien in Murfreesboro last week. Christopher Molina-Esquivel was convicted on charges of procurement for prostitution.

Davidson County
The Department of Homeland Security announced the arrest of a number of dangerous criminal illegal aliens earlier this month. One of those arrested was taken into custody in Nashville. Douglas Benitez-Herrera, an illegal from Honduras, was convicted of aggravated assault, robbery, possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), driving under the influence, and manslaughter.

Davidson County police also arrested the following illegal aliens:
29-year-old Diego Zavaleta-Hernandez – arrested August 11
- Zavaleta-Hernandez was charged with possession of a controlled substance (cocaine .5g+). He was booked on a $45,000 bond.

34-year-old Abraham R. Lopez – arrested August 11
- Lopez was charged with failure to appear and being a fugitive from justice. He was booked on a $200,000 bond.

25-year-old Adolfo Josue Navarrete Rodriguez – arrested August 15
- Rodriguez was charged with aggravated robbery with a weapon or object. He was booked on a $75,000 bond.

48-year-old Jose Ramiro Duarte – arrested August 16
- Duarte was charged with driving under the influence and driver’s license required. He was booked on a $2500 bond.

31-year-old Martin Tlaxcala Tlaxcala – arrested August 16
- Tlaxcala was charged with driving under the influence and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days in jail.

28-year-old Eduin Javier Rivera Gomez – arrested August 16
- Gomez was charged no driver’s license and insurance – evidence of compliance.

Knox County
Knox County police also arrested the following illegal aliens:
32-year-old Luis Miguel Ventura-Moreno – arrested August 12
- Ventura-Moreno was charged with DUI (first offense), driving on roadways laned for traffic, driver to exercise due care, and driving without a license. He was booked on a $10,000 bond.

38-year-old Edy Lopez – arrested August 17
- Lopez was charged with driving while license suspended, headlights on motor vehicle must operate during inclement weather, and financial responsibility law. He was booked without bond.

Inmate records show that these individuals currently have immigrant detainers and will remain in custody until released to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. An ICE hold most likely means they are in this country illegally.
