Two illegal aliens from Mexico are now serving federal sentences for conspiring to possess and distribute methamphetamine.
41-year-old Juan Carlos Garcia and his brother 45-year-old Julio Cesar Garcia were indicted in 2021.
Julio Garcia, who was already serving time for a prior drug trafficking conviction, used a contraband cell phone from prison to make arrangements for methamphetamine deliveries. Juan Garcia would collect the payments for those deliveries.
The pair was convicted in 2023, and Juan Garcia was sentenced to 188 months in prison. An appeal of that sentence was denied in December 2024.
Julio Garcia was scheduled to complete his first sentence in July 2026. However, last month, Judge Mark Norris sentenced him to an additional 300 months in prison for the 2021 charges.
Both will serve their full sentence because there is no parole system in federal prison. Both were also ordered not to reenter the country illegally.

Davidson County police also recently arrested the following illegal aliens:

48-year-old Juan Francisco Martinez – arrested April 14
- Martinez was initially charged with no driver’s license and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, but those charges show to have been dropped.

34-year-old Arianna Reve-Aldana – arrested April 14
- Reve-Aldana was charged with driving under the influence (2nd offense). She was booked on a $2500 bond but then was sentenced on April 15 to 45 days in jail.

Knox County police also arrested the following illegal aliens:

- Rodriguez-Diaz was charged with driving an unregistered vehicle on the highway, child restraint under age 4, child restrain ages 4-8, altering/falsifying/forging a title/plates, and financial responsibility law. He was booked on a $2000 bond.

- Andres was charged with public intoxication. He was booked on a $500 bond.

22-year-old Kevin Alexander Donaire Ramos – arrested April 12
- Ramos was charged with DUI (first offense). He was booked on a $2500 bond.

Inmate records show that all of these individuals currently have immigrant detainers and will remain in custody until released to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
An ICE hold most likely means they are in this country illegally.
