Press Release –
The Tennessee Right to Life Political Action Committee and pro-life Tennesseans are celebrating the outcome of Tuesday’s elections.
Roger Kane, President of the Tennessee Right to Life PAC summed up the election results, “With the strong contingency of pro-life incumbents who were re-elected along with some newly elected freshmen, the General Assembly will continue to have a majority of members who are committed to protecting the right to life of Tennessee’s most vulnerable citizens.”
Ninety-seven percent of Tennessee Right to Life PAC endorsed candidates were successful in Tuesday’s election, winning 72 out of 74 endorsed races across the state.
“In this election, we saw pro-abortion candidates, some of whom are actively litigating to stop our protective laws from going into effect, and the abortion machine that funded their campaigns. Yet, Tennesseans continue to send a pro-life supermajority back to Nashville,” said Will Brewer, General Counsel & Director of Government Relations for TN Right to Life.
The abortion industry has made defeating Tennessee’s strong pro-life majority a priority. This election, Planned Parenthood targeted four incumbents for defeat, spending over a million dollars to spread misinformation about Tennessee’s law and pro-life legislators. Their money and misinformation failed.
All four incumbents were victorious and will return to the legislature this January. Additionally, across the state, forty-five Tennessee Right to Life PAC endorsed candidates went head-to-head against Planned Parenthood endorsed candidates and came out victorious in all but two of those races. Pro-life candidates were the overwhelming choice of Tennessee voters.
“Tennessee Right to Life PAC appreciates the strong stand the candidates took in their campaigns. Pro-life candidates stood boldly against abortion proponents who ran on a platform of unlimited, unregulated abortion and campaigned on overturning Tennessee’s law. When the votes were counted, the abortion agenda failed in Tennessee,” Kane continued.
Tennessee Right to Life is grateful to the voters of Tennessee for continuing to elect men and women who are dedicated to protecting women and their unborn children. We look forward to continuing to work with legislators and the governor to ensure that Tennessee laws represent Tennessee values and that the Human Life Protection Act remains strong.

Good.
Tennessee needs to be reasonable and allow abortions in cases of Rape, Incest or danger to the mother’s life. I voted for Trump and Trump supports that. Look at the polls. I’m a registered republican but I won’t vote for any TN politician who would force a raped girl to have the Rapists’ baby. That is evil. Don’t try to force your religious views on me.
Now w/the reversal of roe vs wade some states allow doctors to be charged for providing abortion care for an ectopic pregnancy or if a patient’s water breaks before viability, but it codifies those conditions as a legitimate defense in court. What doctor is going to take that risk?? Women in the mist of a miscarriage can & will be denied or receive delayed medical care due to the vague language of their state’s abortion ban resulting in possible future infertility, or their own death. I hope this group & others like this are happy with what they’ve done to women!!!
