On Saturday, September 20th, a battle for the spiritual identity of our community is scheduled to be waged on the waters of our local river.
The Rustic River Restaurant and Resort is not merely hosting a “fun, costumed kayak event,” as they advertise on their Facebook page. They are acting as the local host for a nationally coordinated occult event timed to the powerful Autumnal Equinox, inviting participants to form a “coven” and engage in ritualistic activity.
This is not speculation; it is a documented pattern. A simple investigation reveals that September 20th, 2025, is a key date in the national pagan and witchcraft calendar. From New York to Washington State, self-described witches and pagans are holding coordinated gatherings to mark the Equinox, which they call “Mabon.”
• In Liverpool, NY, a Pagan Pride Day is being held on September 20th as an explicit “Autumn Equinox Festival.”
• In Kirkland, WA, the PNW Witches’ Market is hosting its “Autumn Equinox/Mabon Festival,” gathering attendees “by the water to honor the Autumn Equinox — a sacred time of balance between light and dark.”
• In Ferndale, MI, the Boston Tea Room is holding an “Autumn Equinox Witches’ Market” with tarot, reiki, and astrology.
• Most alarmingly, the trend of “witch paddles” is rampant. In Illinois, “Witches on the Water” events are scheduled for the 20th and 21st. In Michigan, an outfitter is offering an “Autumn Equinox on the River” special. These water-based events are not coincidence.
The Bible commands us in Ephesians 5:11 to “have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.” We are called to expose this. The date is a signal. The location—on the water—is a deliberate act of spiritual dominion.
Why the water? Occult literature is chillingly clear. Prominent witches like Annwyn Avalon issue “A CALL TO ACTION” for witches worldwide to gather at local waterways on the equinox to “call upon the Water Spirits,” performing synchronized spells and offerings. They believe water is a conduit for spiritual energy and a dwelling place for entities like water sprites and nymphs. They conduct rituals to “bless, heal and protect our waterways,” seeking to invoke elemental forces and claim spiritual territory.
This is the dark reality behind the “cute” costumes and flowery language. As ex-occultist Carol Kornacki warns, these events are designed to normalize the occult and unwittingly involve people in a spiritual ritual. While some attendees may see a fun float, the organizers and the spiritual forces they align with see an opportunity for “regional enchantment”—an attempt to cast spells over our community during a time they believe the veil between worlds is thin.
We are not fighting against flesh and blood. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us our battle is “against principalities, against powers, and against the worldly governors, the princes of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness, which are in the high places.” A business in our community is choosing to side with these “princes of darkness” by hosting this event.
Therefore, we must act now, before this happens. We must be heard.
A polite, firm, and massive response from the community is needed to show that hosting a national occult event here is unacceptable. Here is the contact information for the businesses organizing and hosting this spiritual assault. Reach out. Let them know you will not support any establishment that opens our home to darkness.

Call to Action:
1. Contact Them NOW: Call and email the numbers and addresses above. Be respectful but unwavering. State clearly that you are aware this event is part of a national occult strategy for the Equinox and you will not support a business that promotes witchcraft and the conjuring of spirits on our river.
2. Pray: Pray for this event to be canceled. Pray for a hedge of protection around that river. Pray for the revelation of Truth to touch the hearts of the organizers and potential participants, freeing them from this darkness.
3. Share and Educate: Share this information and these documented facts with your church, family, and friends. We must stand together in knowledge and truth to prevent this.
This September 20th must not see a coordinated coven gathering on our water. Let the unified voice of the faithful rise in opposition now and stop it. We will not fellowship with darkness. We will expose it. We will protect our community for Christ.
