Press Release –
Sen. Bo Watson hosted hundreds of guests at Greenway Farms in Hixson on October 23rd for the first-ever Bo’s All-American Bash, featuring a cookout by the Rib & Loin, live music from Smith & Wesley, kids activities and special guest speakers. Former Tennessee State Representative Richard Floyd opened the celebration with a blessing and led the pledge of allegiance to the United States flag, prior to official remarks.
“I’m honored to be surrounded by my colleagues, my partners in Congress and the citizens of Hamilton County as we celebrate our community, our state and our nation,” said Sen. Watson. “Because of leaders like those with us tonight and all of you, the state of Tennessee is strong. We are fiscally responsible, maintain low taxes, create jobs and work every day to protect the freedoms of hardworking Tennesseans. Representing you in the state Senate is an honor, and I will continue to work hard for you.”
The event, just 16 days ahead of Election Day, included remarks from U.S. Sen. Marsha Blackburn, U.S. Rep. Chuck Fleischmann, other elected officials and candidates for office.
“It’s a privilege to visit with the great people of Hamilton County and to celebrate this community together. I recently completed my 95-county tour, meeting with citizens, business owners and leaders across the great state of Tennessee, and Hamilton County – you have some of the best people around!” said Sen. Blackburn. “I’ve heard from Tennesseans like you, and we want more freedom, more opportunity for everyone. We want to keep taxes low and bring inflation down. To accomplish this, we need you to take it to the polls and vote this November.”
Hamilton County GOP Chairman Arch Trimble IV and Tennessee GOP Chairman Scott Golden also spoke, urging guests to vote in the upcoming elections. U.S. Rep. Mark Green, from nearby District 7, and Rep. Fleischmann also delivered messages to supporters.
State officials Rep. Patsy Hazlewood and Rep. Greg Martin also spoke and rallied voters. The event concluded with additional remarks from local leaders such as Hamilton County Mayor Weston Wamp, East Ridge Mayor Brian Williams, Dari Owens, candidate for Red Bank Commission, and Morty Lloyd, candidate for Collegedale Commission.
Early voting is underway in Hamilton County and runs through November 3. Election Day is November 8. Polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. EST.
