In the Old Testament God ordained people, the spiritual leaders as “watchmen.”
Their jobs were to guard against attacks from the enemy, warn of impending danger, to protect from spiritual pitfalls and societal decay, they called the people to defend their families, the city and the nation. Nehemiah 4:7-15.
They were also responsible to speak to and if necessary, rebuke the powers that be. Isaiah 58:10-12.
A number of weeks ago I went to Barnes and Nobles in the Hamilton Place mall, to my shock, I saw porn magazines in full view of children!
I went to the management who blamed it on corporate. I asked the management if anyone else complained, she said, no and I believed her!
Where are the watchmen? Where are all the pastors and spiritual leaders?
I come from New Jersey, a very liberal state and they have laws against children being exposed to porn.
Surely, the “Bible-belt” has such laws! I called the police, and no one seemed to know the law! I was treated like a nuisance!
I called the mayor’s office, and they did not know the law either! Finally, I called my state legislators office and was told that there was a law that prohibited pornography to be sold in the presence of children. TCA 39-17-911
I attended a small store-front church in Ringgold, GA. I asked my pastor what he would have done, if he saw this. His response, nothing!
He said he would have assumed it was “legal” and his job was to “protect his children!”
My response to him was, slavery was legal, does that mean when faced with evil, we ignore it because it is legal?
I also asked him, what about the scriptures that say to love your neighbor as yourself and are we not to be our brother’s keeper? He could not answer this!
I told him, that if anyone’s child is in danger, all are!
An acquaintance told me that her pastor would do something! So, I began to attend there. I spoke with this pastor, his church had 3 campuses. He told me that he would do something! That he knew several other pastors, his church had 2 judges as well as police officers in it!
He went to Barnes and Nobles; he saw the porn and did nothing!
I waited, I emailed and sent text. I was told he was caring for a family member. So, I waited.
Eventually he sent me an email saying, “you do it!’ I replied to him and several pastors in that church. “Leaders must lead!” God has given them authority and influence that I do not have! It would only be a matter of a 5-minute phone call to the sheriff’s office or the DAs to ask them to enforce the law!
I also told them the number one cause of divorce among Christians is porn use, that according to the American Family Association, 2/3rd of the men in church use porn, that porn fuels child sexual abuse and child sex trafficking. The last time I went to Barnes and Nobles, the porn magazines increased, such is the nature of evil that goes unchecked!
So, if you are a pastor, Imam, Rabbi or someone who cares about children and families, will you use your God given influence and act?!?

The church is pathetically quiet. They have hitched themselves to the world system- 501C3.
I hope you changed churches.
