Racist messages that were found on a Tennessee college campus over Thanksgiving break have been discovered to be yet another hoax.

When originally discovered in November, the notes were initially investigated as a hate crime but Rhodes College has now confirmed to Fox News Digital that the individual responsible for leaving the messages strewn around college grounds fabricated them to make Donald Trump supporters look like racists.

The investigation conducted by Campus Safety officers and the Memphis Police Department ended with the identification of the perpetrator who confessed to being responsible.

A spokesperson for Rhodes College has said that “appropriate steps” will be taken to hold the individual accountable, which will include potential legal action.

The flyers found near the college’s National Pan-Hellenic Council Plaza which honors the school’s nine Black Greek sororities and fraternities, included profanity, racial slurs, and the slogan “Trump Rules.” Students who saw the messages confirmed to media outlets that they found them to be “vulgar.”

At this time, there is no word on the race of the individual who was found to be responsible.

According to The College Fix, Rhodes has decided not to publicly identify the individual or their “relationship” to the college but did say that the person who reported the act to campus authorities was to blame for the distribution of the messages.

Rhodes is far from the only university that has been used by bad actors fabricating fake racism incidents.

Pennsylvania State University fans were found not to have used racial slurs during a men’s basketball game last year.

A black female student at Wayne State University allegedly vandalized her own door with eggs.

And a Southern Illinois University Edwardsville student, another black female – was charged in 2022 for filing a false police report which accused two white students of being involved when she claimed that hand-written racist notes were found on the door of her room.

  1. This seems to be a recurring theme. Anyone remember Bubba Wallace or Juicey Smollet? Both their stories turned out to be hoaxes too. The left is always ready to ponce on conservatives saying we’re this or that but they are the ones who are intolerant and commit violent acts when they don’t get their way.
In God we trust not government or man.
    Have a blessed day.
