Police in Davidson County and Knox County arrested several illegal aliens on charges of drugs, DUI, assault, and more.

28-year-old Elder Mijangos-Carranza was arrested on August 28. He was charged with two counts of domestic assault with bodily injury and harassment (repetitive calls). He was booked on a $6000 bond. Mijangos-Carranza was previously charged with theft between $10,000 and $60,000 in August 2023, but those charges were dismissed in February 2024.


On August 29, 21-year-old Carlos Manuel Medrano Medrano was arrested for being a fugitive from justice. Medrano was wanted in Maryland for questioning in relation to a homicide investigation. He was booked on a $250,000 bond.

Police also arrested 42-year-old Antonio Ajualip Ramirez on charges of driving while intoxicated and driving on the wrong side of the road. He was sentenced on September 2 to a suspended sentence of 11 months and 29 days.

25-year-old Christian Perez-Ruiz was arrested on September 1. Perez-Ruiz was charged with Assault/Reckless Endangerment with a Deadly Weapon (vehicle), Possession/Casual Exchange of a controlled substance, evading arrest, driving under the influence (2nd offense), reckless driving, driving on a revoked license, and leaving the scene of an accident. He was booked on a $16,000 bond.



Police arrested 32-year-old Luise Guevara-Villatoro on September 2 on charges of driving under the influence and violation of the implied consent law. He was booked with a $2500 bond.

22-year-old Rolando Mendez-Mendez was also arrested on September 2. He was charged with driving under the influence and was booked on a $1000 bond.


In Knox County, two men were arrested on September 1.
32-year-old Jaime Alberto Rodriguez Memeses was arrested for driving without a license and violation of the vehicle light law.

40-year-old Canido Tzrin was also arrested for DUI (First Offense), driving while license suspended, possession/casual exchange of meth, failure to meet financial responsibility law, and failure to illuminate registration tag while headlights are on.

Inmate records show that these individuals have ICE detainers.
They will remain in custody until they are released to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
An immigration detainer hold most likely means these individuals are in this country illegally.
