Police in West Tennessee arrested illegal aliens involved in a theft ring, while Nashville law enforcement officials arrest two more on DUI charges.

Two illegal aliens from Romania were arrested in Collierville for their alleged involvement in a theft ring, after being caught stealing more than $3500 worth of makeup from a Sephora store.

22-year-old Jenifer Antonescu and 23-year-old Frances Lupeanu were charged with theft of merchandise after police responded to the Kohl’s location on Houston Levee Road in Collierville. Store employees reportedly saw the women take the merchandise, including makeup from Fenty Beauty, Too Faced, and Estee Lauder.

Police confirmed that the women both had active warrants out of Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Wisconsin, and Ohio for their role in a regional theft ring.

“Our sole focus is keeping our community safe and you know, we work with all of our law enforcement partners and this is just another example. If folks come into our country illegally, they’re victimizing our community, by you know, stealing from our shops and businesses, and so, it’s hurting our community,” said Collierville Chief of Police Dale Lane.

In Davidson County, officials arrested two men for charges related to driving under the influence.

24-year-old Israel Jermiah Putul-Choc was arrested on September 3. He was charged with failure to appear related to a May charge of driving under the influence

Police also arrested 44-year-old Manuel Che on three counts of driving under the influence, no driver’s license, violation of the implied consent law, and one count of driving under the influence per se.
