A former Clarksville teacher pleaded guilty to statutory rape and was sentenced to nine years in prison.

35-year-old Steven Allen Hirschi, a former teacher at Northeast High School, was originally arrested on December 16, 2025, and charged with three counts of statutory rape by an authority figure, two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, and one count of tampering with evidence.
According to police, Hirschi took advantage of his “position of power” and sexually penetrated a 17-year-old student. This took place between April and May 2025.
Hirschi was hired by the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System in November 2018. When the allegations against him came to light, he was placed on assignment at an alternate location and was not allowed any contact with students while the investigation was underway.

School district officials confirmed that Hirschi was terminated from employment in March 2026.
District Attorney General Robert Nash stated in a Facebook post that Hirschi accepted a plea deal, pleading guilty to statutory rape by an authority figure, which is a Class B felony.

He will be required to serve 100% of his nine year sentence in the Tennessee Department of Correction.
