Governor Lee Grants Christmas Pardons, Bashes Biden’s Plan to Send Immigrants To TN

Governor Bill Lee recently lashed out against President Biden for his plan to release “asylum seekers” into Tennessee, all the while granting clemency and expediting parole eligibility to dozens of convicted criminals within the state.
On December 22, Lee granted clemency to 16 individuals, pardoning 13 and commuting the sentences of 3 others. He also used a change in state law as a basis for expediting the parole of an additional 30 people.
According to a press release from Lee’s office, Lee expedited parole for individuals who would have already been eligible if their sentencing had been handed down according to the legislature’s 2020 change in the criteria for an enhanced sentence for drug offenses within a school zone.
The irony in Lee’s apparent Christmas gift to these individuals is that just days before, the governor took to Twitter, saying, “We’ve been informed by ICE [Immigration and Customs Enforcement] that they plan to release single adult detainees into TN while they await court proceedings. This is irresponsible & a threat to the safety of Tennesseans.”
Tennessee Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti claimed that Governor Lee just found out about the plan the night before, but ICE officials say they notified Lee weeks ago that these asylym seekers would be sent to the state.
When questioned by the press about the discrepancy of the timing of his receipt of the information and his release of that knowledge, Lee refused to answer.
This is not the first time that refugees have been shipped into Tennessee. In May 2021, several flights carrying unaccompanied alien children landed at Chattanooga’s Wilson Air Center. Several of those children were then bussed to La Casa de Sidney in Chattanooga, as well as other residential shelters. La Casa de Sidney was later shut down amidst allegations of sexual battery and runaway children.

I hate living in this 💩 hole state. It’s beautiful but that’s about it, it’s just another democrat ran state soon to look like Lightfoot’s state.
Lee NEEDS to be transparent, show ALL communications from ICE.
He has the power and authority to send these illegal aliens to Blue Biden if he has the guts to like Florida and Texas???
WE have a larger problem then LEE how BIDEN got elected I have no idea, he has been a failure way before he took office. OUR major problem are the people in our country that think, just because you show up at the border you need to be let in. WE have laws and the SORRY LIBERAL COURT JUDGES wont up hold them. WE have let 2.3 million of these people into our country, so the DEMOCRATS and BIDEN can wipe out our votes. THEY have had this plan for years, this wont be our country for long.
