Press Release –

Despite having certified candidate nomination petitions signed by constituents of Tennessee’s 10th State House District, undisclosed members of the Hamblen County Republican Party filed a protest with the Tennessee State GOP against Nathan Dressel being a Republican Candidate for 10th District State Representative on the upcoming August Primary Ballot.

Nathan Dressel is a US Army Special Forces Green Beret, Combat Veteran, Husband, Father, and owner of the well-known, outspoken conservative brand, Frontier Coffee Company

Thursday evening, April 11th, while Nathan was traveling on military orders, his wife received a FedEx letter from Mr. Scott Golden,TN State GOP Chairman.

The letter stated that Mr Dressel’s bona fide Republican status had been protested in accordance with the TN GOP Bylaws by party members within the 10th District, specifically citing that he has not voted as a Republican in at least three (3) of the last four (4) statewide primary elections.

The letter did specify that Nathan has the right to appeal the protest.

Upon his wife sharing the information, Nathan emailed Mr. Golden explaining that he was on military orders but would like to exercise his right to appeal. The appeal rules state that he must petition to his GOP State Executive Committee (SEC) Members, who would vote and make a recommendation for or against him remaining on the primary ballot.

Being military, stationed all across the country, and often deployed or away for training, Nathan admittedly did not meet the TN GOP Bylaw requirement of having voted in at least three (3) of the last four (4) statewide primary elections. Any former active duty service member can attest to how notorious the absentee voting system is for member’s ballots actually making it back and counted on occasions.

Mr. Dressel did, however, gather his voting records from five (5) states and five (5) counties dating back to 2012, which reflect a long Republican voting record. He collected sworn statements of character attesting to his conservative and Republican values from established GOP party members, fellow servicemembers, and even a Democrat County Councilman with whom Nathan has discussed his conservative views for the past 10 years. He provided his own testimony of standing for his conservative and Republican beliefs to the point of he and his family being the subject of national media smear campaigns and receiving an onslaught of death threats.

All of this, Nathan compiled in an appeals packet which he submitted Wednesday, April 17th to Mr. Scott Golden as well as his four SEC members, Mr. Joshua Collins, Mrs. Nancy Wilson, Mrs. Patty Mills, and Mr. David Bishop. No acknowledgement of receipt of his appeals packet was given by Mr. Golden or any SEC members with the exception of Joshua Collins, via text message.

At 11:54 am, Thursday April 18th, 6 minutes before the appeals decision deadline, Nathan received an email from Mr. Golden which reads:

“Mr. Dressel –

Just wanted to let you officially know that your waiver request to be a candidate for the 10th House District in the August 2024 campaign has been denied by the State Executive Members that represent your district. Thank you for your willingness to be a candidate and we hope you stay involved with the Tennessee Republican Party and participate in future elections.

Respectfully,

Scott Golden

Chair, Tennessee Republican Party”

At the time of this publication, Mr Golden and the TN State GOP have still not provided the original proof of the protest to Nathan Dressel’s candidacy nor proof of the SEC members’ reasoning or voting to deny his appeal. Full and uncensored versions of Nathan Dressel’s filing, denial, appeals documents, and subsequent denial will be published on www.votenatedressel.com

Why would anyone be amazed at this? Of course, they don’t want a True American Patriot to be a part of this election in State.
    The swamp runs deep.

The fact that you ask this question is the problem!
They are elected by voters at the ballot box!!! If we voters don’t realize we ejected them then we didn’t get them and are calling them in their vote or holding them accountable!!!!

They will all be up for reelection in 2026

The TN GOP continues to favor incumbents and to manipulate eligibility standards at their concerned behind closed doors

It is time for a clean sweep of the TN Republican Party Leadership. We need precinct captains in every county, and in every precinct as members of the local Republican Executive Committees.
We need new rules, justice, truth, and conservative values. This recent act of the Party is shameful.

This excellent candidate can STILL run as a write-in candidate. His intentions/papers must be filed at the Election Commission Offices in the Counties representing the District he is running for by early June. Everyone who will benefit by the election of someone of his caliber (in other words ALL TN Constitutional Conservatives) should encourage him to do so and assist him in any way possible. He must be encouraged to get an audit of the official vote if he doesn’t win if there is anything suspicious AT ALL. Unfortunately machines can be hacked very easily…and we may be seeing more and more of this in TN. If there is enough passion, enthusiasm, and support a write-in candidate CAN win! I sure hope he elects to run and that the TN Conservative will support him in any way possible.
