Tennessee Conservative News Staff –
Law enforcement officials in Memphis took several pounds of dangerous drugs off the streets last week.

According to the West Tennessee Drug Task Force, investigators seized approximately eight pounds of methamphetamine and one pound of fluorofentanyl during a special assignment carried out Tuesday.
Drug Task Force Director Johnnie Carter explained that fluorofentanyl is a synthetic compound of fentanyl.
“It is approximately 50 to 100 times stronger than morphine and much more potent than regular fentanyl because fluorofentanyl breaks down in the body to yet another chemical that is dissolved much easier in the body’s fat, allowing it to cross the blood-brain barrier much quicker and at greater quantities than regular fentanyl can,” stated Carter.

The operation took place at an undisclosed location within the city. No information was released about any possible arrests made as a part of the operation.
