Clarksville was just added to President Trump’s midterm rally tour, bringing him to the Ft. Campbell area on October 10 as he works to bolster support for Republicans ahead of early voting next week.

“Tennessee Republicans are fired up to welcome President Trump back to the Volunteer State, where his support runs deep. His rally will supercharge our candidates for the final stretch, capping off another Saturday full of football and patriotism,” said RNC national press secretary Natalie Baldassarre.

The campaign stop comes as Democrats have been ramping up efforts to flip several redrawn seats in Tennessee they consider vulnerable, including Congressional District 7 where Republican Matt Van Epps is facing off against Democrat businessman Darden Copeland and District 5 where Democrat Mayor of Columbia Chaz Molder is looking to defeat Republican Charlie Hatcher.

District 9 is also shaping up to be a tight race as state Senator Brent Taylor is hoping to flip the redrawn district from Democrat control as it was cracked to GOP advantage while facing off against radical progressive state Rep. Justin J. Pearson.

Doors at the F&M Bank Arena in Clarksville will open at 11 a.m. on Saturday with the event set to begin at 1 p.m. Trump is expected to make his remarks around 2:30 p.m. which will likely include energizing voters about the Republican ballot.

The Tennessee Conservative plans to be on the ground to cover the event, though the expected weather may ultimately force schedule changes or cancellations.

The President is expected to fly in and out of Fort Campbell Army Airfield on Saturday before making his way to Tuscaloosa, AL for the Georgia-Alabama football game, but Trump said yesterday he may have to cancel his trip with the incoming hurricane as he does not wish to complicate or stand in the way of emergency preparations or response that would have to accommodate a presidential caravan.
