Despite a narrowly missed assassination attempt last weekend, former President Donald Trump refuses to go into hiding, instead making plans to head to Nashville for the upcoming Bitcoin conference.

The conference will take place July 25-27 at Nashville’s Music City Center. Trump will be one of several speakers for the event which also features the likes of Edward Snowden and Russell Brand, as well as Tennessee Senators Bill Hagerty and Marsha Blackburn.

Although Trump previously spoke out against cryptocurrency, he recently expressed his growing support of the American bitcoin industry. Trump will serve as the keynote speaker for the conference, where he is expected to talk about his plans to support the growth of the industry if he is re-elected as president.

More than 20,000 people are expected to be in attendance at the event, making safety a growing concern, especially following the assassination attempt on Trump last Saturday.

The FBI issued a statement addressing potential safety concerns, noting that no threats had been publicly made regarding Trump’s trip to Nashville at this time.

“While we are not aware of any local threats associated with the incident in Butner, Pennsylvania, the FBI Memphis Field Office – Nashville Resident Agency is working closely with our law enforcement partners to share information and identify and disrupt any threats that may emerge in our communities. We ask members of the public to immediately report anything they consider suspicious to law enforcement or the FBI Memphis Field Office – Nashville Resident Agency at 615-232-7500. Tips can also be submitted to the FBI online at tips.fbi.gov or by calling 1-800-CALL FBI,” the statement reads.

Conference organizers say they have been working with their security personnel as well as Trump’s secret service to make sure the event is safe for all in attendance.

  1. I agree $650.00 a ticket is to rich for my income and that’s the entry level one. The next ticket is $2600.00 definitely out of my league.
