Press Release –

McMinn County resident Will Bolton has officially announced his candidacy to serve in the Tennessee House of Representatives for District 23.

Originally from Hernando, Mississippi, Will Bolton currently resides in McMinn County with his high school sweetheart, Leigh. They have been married for 35 years and are parents to six children—five daughters and one son—all of whom were/are homeschooled. They have also been blessed with six grandchildren. Bolton enlisted in the U.S. Navy as a high school senior, and he continued his military service with the Tennessee Air National Guard before transitioning into law enforcement as a deputy sheriff.

Will Bolton’s law enforcement career also spanned more than two decades as a federal agent with the United States Secret Service, Immigration and Customs (ICE), and US Customs and Border Protection. He retired from the Department of Homeland Security in 2021. These experiences have equipped Bolton with the skills and dedication necessary to represent District 23 and uphold Tennessee values. Bolton recognizes Tennesseans’ expectation that their elected officials defend the Constitution and support initiatives by President Trump that preserve these principles.

Will Bolton is honored to announce his candidacy for the Tennessee House of Representatives: “As a dedicated supporter of our community’s core values, I recognize our district has challenges and opportunities. That said, my focus will be on serving you, the people of District 23, and providing the strong leadership we need. I am committed to transparency, accountability, integrity, and representing our district with actual real-world experience and traditional conservative values.”

Bolton continued, “My representation of you will involve actively listening to the needs of the citizens, working families, small business owners, and future generations in District 23. My candidacy is dedicated to ensuring that the perspectives of District 23 are represented in Nashville and that the district receives appropriate attention and resources.”

Bolton has been meeting with members of the community, listening to their concerns, and communicating his legislative goals for District 23. Input from residents will inform his actions in the State House to support District 23 and the state of Tennessee.
