Press Release –

Williamson Families, a coalition of local families founded to encourage and support conservative Williamson County residents to run for local office, announces its endorsements for the 2023 Franklin Board of Mayor and Alderman (BOMA) Election, upcoming on October 24th.

The Franklin BOMA election represents a crucial crossroads for our city after the past four years brought citywide mask mandates, threats to local businesses for noncompliance with these unlawful mandates, three years of the Franklin Pride Fest on city grounds that the incumbent mayor, Ken Moore, admitted “was not family friendly,” the arrest of a Christian man for praying at the Franklin Pride Fest, the attempted removal of prayer vigils from downtown Franklin, LGBTQ+ propaganda put in the hands of children at our Franklin Christmas Parade, the sowing of racial division with the politicization of our Juneteenth festival and proposed “Racial Terror Markers” in our downtown square, and a boom in high density housing projects that threaten to make our charming city unrecognizable.

A change in leadership is imperative to keep these ideological agendas, government overreach, and overdevelopment out of Franklin.

After a rigorous vetting process to ensure these candidates will stand strong for conservative principles and will be the leaders Franklin so desperately needs, Williamson Families endorses the following individuals in their campaigns for city office:

Gabrielle Hanson, Mayor of Franklin

Clyde Barnhill, Alderman-At-Large A

Gary Moore, Alderman-At-Large B

Patrick George, Alderman-At-Large C

Jeff Feldman, Alderman-At-Large D

These endorsements are listed at www.williamson-families.org/candidates.

“Williamson Families PAC was founded in 2021 to advocate for strong family values, individual responsibility, respect for tradition, and innovation for the future,” states founder and chairman, Robin Steenman.  “Franklin deserves leaders that will courageously defend our state and federal constitutional rights, champion local business owners, protect the innocence of our children, practice transparent accountability and fiscal responsibility, and thoughtfully listen to residents rather than cater to radical left agendas.  We support current leaders and candidates that reflect our family values and demonstrate integrity, wisdom, and service to the community.”

Early voting runs October 4th through 19th, Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM (including Columbus Day), and Saturdays 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at the Williamson County Election Commission, 405 Downs Blvd in Franklin.  Election Day is Tuesday, October 24th, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM at eight different polling locations.

“To the residents of Franklin who are newly awakened to the threats posed to our city, it is imperative to go vote!” continued Steenman, “We also need citizens to get involved.  Join our family at Williamson-Families.org and find out where you can help.”
