The Tennessee Conservative [By Olivia Lupia] –
After record turnout in several counties across the state, the results of the November 5, 2024 election indicate that not only will the GOP maintain their supermajority in the legislature, but some real conservatives, like The Tennessee Conservative endorsed Michele Reneau, will be added to their ranks.
The Tennessee Senate GOP retained all currently held Republican seats up for election this cycle, while the House maintained decent margins amongst many seats Republicans maintained or won.
At the federal level, President Trump and Senator Marsha Blackburn swept the field with large margins.
Below are the results of contested elections throughout the state, including Congress and the Presidency. Note that unopposed districts (TN House or Senate) are not listed. Full election results are available on the Secretary of State website.

House District 10 was contested. Candidate Nate Dressel was removed from the Republican primary ballot by the TNGOP, but he was a write-in candidate for the general election. The write-in votes are not currently shown at all in the “unofficial” results, claiming Eldridge received 100% of the vote.
District 9: Steve Cohen with 71% of the vote and approx. 100,000 more votes than Charlotte Bergmann. That percentage is almost the opposite from the other District’s outcomes. This was the ONLY BLUE Congressional District in all of Tennessee and it was overwhelming. What an embarrassment for the Southwest corner of Tennessee. It’s enough to question the process in my humble opinion. After all, it’s mostly Memphis. Today I’m ashamed to be in District 9. Steve is the worst of the worst.
