The CDC’s independent immunization expert panel, the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) had a meeting on Tuesday to discuss and review the data for children ages 5-11 years old. The committee voted 14-0 to grant an EUA for Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for this age group.

Kevin Chatham-Stephens, MD, MPH presented on Pediatric Vaccine Planning and Implementation to the Committee. Despite parents overwhelming trust in regular doctor’s offices or clinics to vaccinate their children for COVID-19, there is a plan to provide vaccinations at schools.

The guidance says, “In soliciting the support and partnership of schools and school districts, outreach to superintendents should occur as a first step. However, it is essential to also form partnerships with the school boards and to communicate with and gain the support of school principals and other school leaders. Having support among school leadership can facilitate program implementation, increase student participation, and lead to more successful SLV clinics.” It also suggests offering vaccines beyond the school population to other segments of the community including home-schooled students.”

In a fact sheet dated October 20th, the Whitehouse announced that the Biden administration has procured enough doses to vaccinate the country’s 28 million children ages 5-11.

In Tennessee, with the passage of the omnibus bill, it remains to be seen if schools will be reluctant to organize such clinics.

The next stop for the EUA is CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky who is expected to sign off on it this week.

They should be, along with vaccine makers, suppliers, and doctors and nurses dispensing them. They should all be legally liable for damages done to people getting the vaccines. It is their duty to research what is in each batch.

They should all be required to be legally responsible from thosese with the patents, makers, distributors, and those who administrate the vaccines and handle the informed consent and testers for any pandemic disease.

It sounds great to demand the government, the vaccine makers, the people dispensing them be held to blame for negative results, but, if it were my child, the blame wouldn’t come anywhere close to the reality of a disabled child. Before allowing this project to go forward, Governor Lee and the Legislature should demand scientific proof of the need for and safety of these vaccines especially for young children who are least subject to harm. Frankly, I would station THP at all roads leading into the state and all airports, bus stations, and train stations to prohibit any of these people from entering the state and close any school that would permit them on their property. The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices chose schools for their skullduggery because it can get to students without parents present. Their announcement misspelled a word – SLV – it left out the a after L and the e after V.
