Land Of Confusion

“There’s too many men, too many people making too many problems. And there’s not much love to go ‘round.  Can’t you see this is the land of confusion?”  ~ Lyrics by Mike Rutherford of Genesis

The confusion experienced by many Americans is not due to the heat wave over the Midwest, but by the gaslighting of the public by the media, led as usual by coastal elites, assisted by the International Olympic Committee.

In Paris, France, the opening ceremony seemed to be a mockery of “the Last Supper” by Da Vinci.  Until it was not.  Featuring a cast of transgender women and led by a nearly nude man painted blue (representing Dionysius, the Greek God of fertility, wine, and revelry) it actually represented a pagan feast, according to its artistic director.

Strange how this piece of communicative art was so ambiguous.  Not satisfied with that travesty, the International Olympic Committee approved two boxers, who may or may not have XY chromosomes to compete in women’s boxing.  This in conflict with the International Boxing Association who ruled they could not, even though they had been competing as women for some time.

The IBA claimed they had definitive evidence these two were not female but have refused to disclose it.  The IOC claimed that they were female because their passport said so.  One of the boxers, Imane Khelif delivered such fierce punches to his (her?) opponent, Angel Carini, that Carini quit the fight after 46 seconds.

The Directors of the Secret Service addressing the near assassination of former President Trump, accepted full responsibility for the near catastrophic failure.  And then blamed the multiple failures on the local law enforcement.

President Biden was said to be a dynamo, running circles around staffers, making pointed inquiries, directing policy, until the debate with Trump where he made the unintelligible claim that “We finally beat Medicare.”  Subsequent appearances confirmed what many Americans had concluded—Biden was a spent force.

Vice President Harris assumed the title of presumptive nominee, without ever having won one vote for that position.  Within hours she claimed to have the support of a majority of hundreds of delegates.  She has since been described as “dynamite”, “trailblazer” “champion”.  One would think she invented the internet and was the inspiration for “Love Story” except Al Gore did that.

And if you are confused this is the same Vice President Harris who has had staff turnover of 92% during her career; was against fracking until she was not; was for a mandatory buyback of assault weapons, until she was not; was appointed border czar by Biden until it developed that was never the case; supported a fund for  rioters after the death of George Floyd death, until she didn’t.  She claimed Biden was fully fit to run for office and be President, when everyone knew he was not.

But rest assured, she is not the one confused, you are.

One expects a politician to change some of his views over time as have both Trump and Vance.  Harris changes hers by the hour, abetted by the media which advocates for her.

But let clarity reign.  Food is more expensive than four years ago, as is gasoline, car insurance, dining out, mortgage rates, and a host of other things.  Crime is up,  and eleven million or more immigrants are due free healthcare, housing and education at your expense, according to the Democrats.  Let that factor in your decision in November.
