***Update 11.13.24 – Senator Marsha Blackburn announced last night that she and Senator Rick Scott spoke yesterday about how to best ensure conservatives have a stronger voice in the procedural process. Blackburn said, “After these conversations and hearing from all the candidates tonight, I will be supporting Rick Scott for Majority Leader, who is committed to passing President Trump’s agenda.”

The Tennessee Conservative [By Olivia Lupia] –
Over the weekend, Senator Bill Hagerty announced on X he will support Senator Rick Scott of Florida for Senate Majority Leader during the vote scheduled for Wednesday of this week.
In May, Scott initially announced his candidacy for Majority Leader via a letter to his Senate colleagues wherein he outlined his intentions and priorities should he be elected. Scott advocated for a “dramatic sea change” and a need to “work closely with President Trump” and is currently promoting platforms including ending omnibus bills, term limits for the Leader, and quick confirmations of Trump appointees.
Scott has received endorsements from several members of Congress other prominent individuals including Robert F. Kennedy Jr., political commentator Tucker Carlson, X owner Elon Musk, athlete Riley Gaines, and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy. CPAC (Conservative Political Action Committee) is also promoting Scott as a, “proven conservative who is the best choice to ensure President Trump’s America-First legislative agenda is secured in the United States Senate.”
Notably absent amongst those vocally supporting Scott’s bid is Tennessee’s other Senator, newly reelected Marsha Blackburn.
She made no public comment about the upcoming vote until Monday morning via an X post which read, “I look forward to hearing from all the candidates this week, and I’m going to vote for the person who is best to work with President Donald Trump to begin the great American comeback.”
Neither this post or any subsequent statements named the specific candidates or their policies or addressed Bill Hagerty’s public support of Scott.
It appears Blackburn’s statement did not mollify constituents as the post has garnered over 15,000 comments filled with demands for honesty and support for Scott, some even expressing their wish to see her removed from office should she not vote accordingly.
“If you can’t come out and say Rick Scott, then some[thing] isn’t right,” wrote one user.
Another said, “As a Tennessean u are really pissing me off. Trump wants Rick Scott. Vance in the first vote voted for Rick Scott. Thune & Corryn are RINOS. This isn’t rocket science.”
Comments like, “You’re going to vote Rick Scott or else face the primary,” and, “No. You already heard from the people you work for, the voters. End of story,” appear to appeal to Blackburn’s duty to represent the will of her constituency accurately and openly.
After reporting on a reportedly leaked internal whip-count showing Blackburn theoretically voting for John Thune, who has previously expressed anti-Trump sentiments, her office contacted the Tennessee Conservative to refute the validity and authenticity of this list. Though the posting has over 11 million views on X, there are no community notes or public statements from Blackburn’s office directly refuting the list, only her representative’s assurances that she has not yet committed to any one candidate.
Supposedly, Marsha will be attending Senator Mike Lee’s candidate forum Tuesday night to hear each candidate’s positions and decide who she believes best aligns with the MAGA agenda. Notably, all three candidates have been campaigning for several months, and Scott is the singular candidate who vocalized intentions to support President Trump’s agenda since before the election.
Of equal concern is the Senate’s current plan to host the Majority Leader election by secret ballot instead of open and transparent votes. Though a public office elected by, and therefore completely accountable to, the People, it appears many Senators believe they can hide behind anonymity to vote without consulting or adhering to the will of their constituents.
Tennesseans wishing to express their opinions on either their preferred Majority Leader candidate or the planned method of casting votes can contact Marsha Blackburn via this form or at these phone numbers.
As a Conservative in Tennessee, who do you favor for US Senate Leader?
Why should Marsha Blackburn and Bill Hagerty support this particular candidate you have selected?

Thank you, Senator Hagerty! As usual, we can count on Blackburn to do nothing that her constituents want. If she doesn’t wake up and realize that she was voted into office to advance Trump’s agenda, not her own, she may find out next time around that she’s lost her base and her job. I will not vote for her again even if it means losing her seat to a democrat. I’m fed up with her.
Thank you, Senator Hagerty. I hope we see Senator Blackburn on the same page Wednesday.
Bill Hagerty (Heritage-87%) has once again shown that he is a solid conservative who deserves the vote of conservatives in 2026. Now all we have to worry about is electing a conservative governor at the same time.
Trump’s Israel-first cabinet. $544k AIPAC Marsha, $600k AIPAC Red Flag Rick, $560k AIPAC Thune, $490k AIPAC Cornyn, $1M AIPAC Rubio. I mean it’s win-win-win for the zionists. No matter how you slice it, it comes up RINOs. Only positive I see is Trump empties out Florida at the state level and both senate seats come open.
Red Flag Rick is a horrible choice.
Rick Scott did the following as Governor of Florida from 2011-2019 (all public records):
– Promoted and passed Red Flag Laws in the State of Florida
– Believes in Climate Change and recently said on CNN that it is the single greatest problem in the world today
– Placed 70 appointments into various administrative roles throughout Florida the day before DeSantis took over the Governorship, ensuring that various changes like reinstating school prayer and ending minor transgender surgeries would be stopped
– Vetoed a bill that allowed prayer in school
– Made LGBT education mandatory in Florida for grades K-8
Please give some links.
Who do you recommend and why?
The vote should be public, not private.
Marsha (Heritage-87%) was reported to be leaning toward John Thune (62%) until she heard from conservatives in Tennessee after which she indicated that she would vote for Rick Scott (95%). Elections matter, that’s why we must devote ourselves to supporting only conservatives like Marsha in the Republican primaries.
Of course, Thune was elected Majority Leader because there are still too many centrist/tepid conservatives Republicans in the U.S. Senate. Let’s see what we can do about that in 2026.
