The Tennessee Conservative [By Jason Vaughn] –
Federal Election Commission records reveal that the University of Tennessee’s political spending so far in 2022 totals $66,357 to support Liberal / Democrat organizations, PACs and candidates.
Meanwhile, UT has spent only $14,135 to support Conservative / Republican organizations, PACS and candidates during the same time period.
This should come as no surprise to those that have been following the rapid spread of Critical Social Justice on UT’s campuses, an ideology that most Liberals and Democrats tend to support.

Earlier this year, The Claremont Institute, Idaho Freedom Foundation and Velocity Convergence released an in-depth report detailing the saturation of Critical Social Justice and UT’s flagship campus in Knoxville.
Susan Kaestner, founding director of Velocity Convergence, said “UTK is going as woke as any university in the country. Its CSJ-dedicated culture has spread at an alarming speed since Spring 2019, with an unprecedented hiring spree at the administrative level reaching down into the details of every department.”
According to Kaestner, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) is nearly full-grown at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville (UTK) but she warns that it is also growing throughout Tennessee’s higher education institutions.
Below, you can find the majority of the political recipients UT has contributed to in the 2022 cycle so far. Reports also indicate they have spent $40,000 on lobbying so far this year. Last year’s lobbying expenses came in at $150,000.

WHY?
Are publicly funded colleges/universities allowed to spend my money on political lobbying?
This absolutely insane
Of Course they do!! University of Higher Garbage Learning. This needs to be Stopped now.
I had no idea that universities spent dollars toward political campaigns or lobbying. This needs to stop. Tuition is crazy high and universities are not held accountable on spending.
Why is a public university spending tuition and tax dollars on any political cause?
It’s bad enough they are in situ leftist indoctrination camps with captives audiences, whether incoming students are aware or not.
